You need to make yourself a wood club on day 1. Not just because it's a quest now, but because you spent so many arrows on zombies that could've been easily mashed at even low skill.

Yeah I get that. It's just when you're low on ammo, you kinda want to keep a hold of it. Plenty of opportunities at night when shooting at legless zombies on your spike traps to increase archery by 10 points or more. Plus these days, sledgehammers are more super-awesome than ever before. ;)

If you ever make another underground base, dont knock it lol. Make it deep enough, reinforce the walls with concrete blocks, and place incremental iron bar/vault door check points along the way to your rooms and you can have a very defensable spot, if they breech one door, fall back to the next bulk head and so on!

Instead of block, they use diamond... and it's really bizarre to work with. Especially when trying to level out an underground ramp.

Building a base with just dirt gets really wonky... I find that if you do the same thing as you have done to start, then raise the ceiling, lower the floor, or both... to be a 5-block-high opening, then you can add wood frames (or another block of choice) to cover the floors, walls, and ceiling. Dirt, sand, and other earthy materials build in diamond-like shapes on all edges. Blocks will stay squared, making it fit well with doors and other building materials and objects. Don't do like I did in the beginning... I used wood plates for walls and floors, but using blocks for most things will work much better as you add more and more stuff. Also, be careful leaving any spaces under load-bearing walls and columns, and add columns as you open up bigger rooms, especially when using dirt ceilings and floors above ground level. If you open up your room a little more ,, it could collapse.Using wood blocks inside will be safer, but even that will need columns every 4-6 blocks, depending on your building layout.

You may know this now.. but you should try and use your forge and campfire during the day or if you have to use it at night cook what you need and turn it off. Both give off a radius of about 20 'blocks' in which the zombies are attracted to.

This will work as a hole up but if they hear u or a horde tries to path through your door(that will happen) then that dirt will last about 2 seconds

How are you liking the game on console? It got butchered pretty much by all reviewers(most anyways). I've been playing it for years on PC and I love it. Shame it "failed" on consoles.

This game is the best for action, crafting and building. I don't know what ur talking about, Minecraft is just an ugly blocky filled game to me, with a steep learning curve to boot . I tried yo play it, the Windows 10 version. It was so hard to even get the basics , all I could do was get to that village and hide, kill a few animals for food before it got dark, which was too soon, then hide in one of the buildings. I couldn't build anything but wood blocks, only a few and couldn't cook anything. I was barely able to block the door so a zed or other monster couldn't get in. I had no decent weapons. Trying to craft things was ridiculous. At least in 7DTD you can make clothes, weapons and can build a small house right away. No, 7DTD is waaay better than stupid Minecraft. Even the earlier versions of 7DTD were better. :D I don't understand how anyone can think "Blocky World" ( that's my nick name for Minecraft) is better. Sorry, I know there are people who love that game but, oh well.
