I love this! I have only ever made blankets. I was going to have a coworker make me an elf hat. Then i saw your tutorial and am going to try my first ever "non-blanket". If i can do this, i plan on doing this for all my kids and grandchildren for Christmas next year. Just gotta figure out the sizing as well

Oh I have a question for you, where you mention that you turn your work on each row/round - what is the effect of doing this? I’m just curious to learn more & deepen my knowledge of crochet. Thank you!
@thestitchqueencrochet Жыл бұрын
What an awesome question! I should do a video about that! I turn my work so that my seam(where you slip stitch at the end of the row) stays even. I also like the look of the alternating rows 🤎 but mostly so that my seam stays as even as possible 🤎
@ashleygooden20578 ай бұрын
Do the front posts and dc need to perfectly line up with each other? Or do we just have to alternate 3fpdc and 3 dc . Wherever they end up in the row
@thestitchqueencrochet8 ай бұрын
Hey, Ashley! They should! Do front posts in front posts, and double crochets in double crochets! ♥️

Hi. Love the hat. Just a question?? I tend to crochet with a tighter tension and therefore I needed to chain up 86. Do I still reduce after 12 stitches or would the number change ?
@thestitchqueencrochet9 ай бұрын
Heyyy, so glad that you're loving the hat! You can decrease every 8 or 9 stitches to get the hat to a similar length! Let me know how it turns out! 🥰♥️

Hi. If adjusting the size of hat for a child. Do you need and even amount of stitches or just enough to go around the head?
@thestitchqueencrochet Жыл бұрын
Hello, Liz! I've always just made it to fit the head, and don't worry about extra stitches at the end of each row, it'll come out great either way! Let me know if you have anymore questions 🙂
