So nice to see Rudy and Cher! They are amazingly resilient after all they've been through. It's heartbreaking to think about, but wonderful that they're finally living with a family who can give them the care and love they should have. Meanwhile, Sleepy Tulip is adorable, and busy Stormy is beautiful. They've both been very good this year, so I think Santa should bring them lots of treats. 💕🌷🦫 💕🌪️🌹🦫 💕🐬 💕💙 💕🦜🦜 💕🏡🎄

Doc talking about how Tulip 🌷 has loved her stuffy so much that the stuffing is coming out of it…only to then see Tulip’s 🌷 got another one in her mouth 😂 But absolutely true about no age limit when it comes to stuffies! It almost looked like Stormy 🌹 was attempting to escape at around the eight & a half minute mark! 😲 Don’t know if she just never realized the top was also covered or what 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not a big bird person myself, but it is 💔 to hear about Rudy & Cher 😢 They live such long lives; how devastating it must be to realize that Rudy & Cher are considered the lucky ones because there are many more out there who have not been rescued or will never be rescued. When you first got Stormy Rose I didn't think she would survive; just look at that beautiful beaver. She came to you so scared and hurt 😢 So happy for her now, thank you Holley for all your hard work and that of your family also. I thought sweet potatoes need to be aged? Have you ever given them Jerusalem artichokes? They are extremely prolific in WNC. I brought a giant box to the Wildlife Rescue here. Very low glycemic index. My dogs even eat the leaves.

It's interesting to me that the beavers respond positively to petting and hugs. They are not domesticated, and letting and hugs for not seem part of their natural repertoire.... Hmm

Beavers normally get that from their family group - mutual grooming and play are a natural and healthy part of beaver life. Tulip has no family, so Holly has to do it. Tulip won't do that with any human.

Oh now this is odd. I was wondering just last night about how the pools are filled and drained, but I'm sorry to find out because your plumbing went haywire. That wasn't supposed to happen, Holley! I hope that things are fixed in time for you, your family, and "the gang" including Tulip, Stormy, Rudy and Cher to have a wonderful Christmas! When Rudy says hello he sounds uncannily like you, and I do believe that lovely Tulip was grooming your arm for a minute there. Update on my FHP (Florida Highway Patrol) neighbor who had foot surgery requiring 3 months of convalescence: it is healing, but still swollen; surgery took I think he said 3.5 hours and the surgeon had to drill extensively to reattach a tendon (did not sound like fun). I asked him if this was a ruse to get out of work, and he said "I wish!" He also mentioned someone's ring cam caught a picture of a Bobcat, so if it's not the gators or the HOA council out to get us, now it's a Bobcat. P.S. Since both he and I have HOA write-ups, we're both HOA-felons... 🤣
