I learned from Anne Franks story that she was a strong teenage girl who didn’t only have to fight against her own insecurities and fears but also the discrimination from the outerworld. And the saddest part is that she would have achieved this mission if the Gestapo haven’t found her. She was full of hope. She knew what she wanted and what she was capable of and most important she had a clear vision of her goals in life. It is a story which should be told and never be forgotten!

Anne Frank had taught me to always look upon the positive side of life even when you are going through the most difficult time. Never give up on your dreams and one day, you will be able to make your dreams come true. Unfortunately for Anne, her dreams did came true but it was after her tragic death. I’m a Muslim but I admired Anne Frank and her family and friends who are Jewish because religions doesn’t separate us but taught us to respect and be kind to one another. I was very happy that Otto fulfilled her daughter’s wishes. May God bless them!

This was such a good series, with brilliant actors, and that really brought Anne's story to light. I've read the diary and I've visited de Achterhuis in Amsterdam, but this still brought a new perspective and new thoughts. Much love from Sweden! (And it was really good to hear dutch again, I lived in the Netherlands 2014-2016 with my ex-boyfriend who was dutch. Beautiful language that I wish I knew more of! :) )

Anne's story is really heart wrenching I read the book a few days ago and as a young kid the way she perceived the world was something beyond ordinary, it taught us to find happiness in small things and similarly to look at the other side of the story as how cruel mankind can be at times, now it's upto us as human to learn from her story and all the people who suffered and lost their lives through those stages that such stuff should not happen again, that's what history is meant to be to learn from it and make it a better world to live, Anne's life was cut short but she always lives through her diary, may God RIP to everyone who lost their lives in World wars and pray we as a young generation help make it a better world to live so that the today's Anne live up to be what she wants to be. This was such a well done series. Everyone was just terrific, especially Luna. Any criticism is totally unjustified. That pic of Otto in the attic (taken just before the Anne Frank house opened to the public, is just brutal. It's a look of profound reflection. One can only imagine what was going through his mind. What tremendously sad memories that annex must have held for him. He did everything he could to protect his family, and in the end, for reasons obviously beyond his control, he was unable to do so. It must have been an overwhelming sense of not only loss, but also, I think, guilt that he was not able to do so.

Sinds mijn 11e levensjaar ben ik veel bezig geweest om over de oorlog te leren, Anne is een persoon waar ik heel veel steun en troost in heb gevonden toen ik zelf 13 was. Ik heb veel verhalen mogen leren, over de oorlog, maar vooral veel over Anne. Ik wilde weten hoe ze zich gevoeld zou hebben en deze serie heeft daar een toevoeging in gebracht! Deze acteurs hebben fantastisch werk geleverd wat ik bewonder omdat ik zelf actrice ben. Ze hebben het leven van Anne en haar mede onderduikers heel speciaal in beeld gebracht, kippenvel! Ik werk zelf met kinderen (naast het acteer werk) en afgelopen weekend heb ik ze meegenomen naar kamp Westerbork en de verhalen die ik geleerd heb over het kamp en over Anne in Westerbork kunnen doorgeven aan deze kinderen. We moeten blijven vertellen, omdat dit nooit meer mag gebeuren. Daarom is het ook fantastisch dat deze serie is gemaakt, het is toegankelijker voor de jongere generatie, nogmaals, kippenvel!

Ik heb net de film van Anne Frank gezien. Die was heftig. De laatste scène was veel agressiever dan in deze serie. Ik schrok. Ik vond het moeilijk om naar die film en deze serie te kijken. Het is goed dat dit verhaal wordt gedeeld. Zoiets als met Anne Frank gebeurd is mag nooit meer gebeuren, dat weet ik zeker. Toen ik hoorde dat Luna soms gediscrimineerd of uitgescholden wordt, vond ik dat naar om te horen. Ik ken haar niet persoonlijk maar het is een mooi meisje en een heel goede actrice. Ze verdient het niet om uitgescholden te worden Respect naar Anne Frank, Otto Frank, Edith Frank, Margot Frank, Peter van Pels (of van Daan dat zag ik in de film), de ouders van Peter, en de tandarts. Ook respect naar alle acteurs en actrices die in deze serie spelen. Ook de mensen die deze serie mede mogelijk hebben gemaakt verdienen een dikke shoutout. Oh, en mijn antwoord op de vraag: Je moet NIEMAND beoordelen over zijn/haar geloof, afkomst en/of familie/vrienden, nooit niet. Ook discrimineren moet niet, nooit, bij niemand. Bedankt voor deze leerzame serie.

i got anne's book when i was around thirteen or fourteen when i was looking around for books. around this point, i was already aware of the holocaust. reading her story about the annex shattered my heart and yet gave hope to my being. to find myself looking back now, being in a position of isolation from so many of those i care and love for, anne amazes me for her hope for finding better things even in peril. i think that will stay with me for a long time, perhaps the rest of my life. thank you for showing truth and hope in trying times, anne frank. i love you!

What I take from Anne's story, is always having faith and hope that everything passes. Unfortunately she did not have a good destiny, but even so she kept her faith, she believed in good things and people. Ana era una soñadora y encontraba algo bello en cosas insignificantes, hoy en día cosas así no son de importancia y se menosprecian. Ana tenía esperanza a pesar de lo que estaban viviendo, siempre tenía algo que hacer o algo de que hablar. Me gustó mucho como interpretaron a los personajes proque todo lo que vivían lo transmitieron, sentí su miedo, tristeza, alegría, etc. Me encantó.

Wat ik mee neem van het verhaal van Anne Frank is dat je met kleine dingen al gelukkig kan zijn en dat je andere gewoon zichzelf moeten laten zijn(ik weet niet hoe ik dit goed kan uitleggen maar in mijn hoofd zeg ik het zo dus ja) en eigenlijk is dit het wel in mijn hoofd enzo is het groter maar ik weet niet hoe ik dat moet uitleggen

Dit heeft jullie echt tijd gekost. ik vindt het jammer dat de serie af gelopen is. ik heb zelf wel een boek thuis maar ik ben deze serie gaan volgen omdat ik nieuwsgierig was. Voor de rest hebben de acteurs het erg goed gedaan. Ze brengen het verhaal goed over.

Wat ik mooi vind aan dit boek, is dat het je roept om gelezen te worden. Iedereen kent het verhaal van Anne Frank, of je het dagboek nu wel of niet hebt gelezen. Omdat ze zo jong is, kan de jeugd zich er mee verbonden voelen

Ik neem mee uit het verhaal van Anne: dat je blij moet zijn met wat je hebt en zeker geen stome en kwetsende opmerkingen moet maken want een mens is een mens en hij/zij kan eigenlijk niet echt iets aan de binnen kant veranderen en is perfect hoe hij/zij is ps.ik vind deze serie echt super interessant en ik zou zeker een bezoekje willen brengen aan het Anne frank huis❤️
