Why doesn't this channel have so few subs and views? Really solid discussions and Info. It's entertaining too!

Hey Americans . . It's not always about the $$$$. I, for one am glad to hear in the summary that she's still at least trying to be true to her initial goals, regardless of the $tock market value of her business

Any service that does not provide the raw data with the full genome sequence to the user is a scam.

There was a limited information because it was not a whole genome analysis. I would have done it more than once if a whole or at least a lot more genetic analysis was done. the analysis upgrades were too small for me. I also realised more and more than genome is not the only determination for disease / health. I wish here good luck with developing medication with the help of genomic data. I still think it is a good idea to genomic test the whole population.

TOTAL money scam as far as I am concerned. They didn't even pick up on my Indian ancestory. I spent almost $250 only to be asked for more money. WOW

How many generations back is your Indian ancestor? There’s no guarantee that his/her genetic material is distinguishable in a lab test with present technology and database information.

For 50 USD an undergrad can pcr up and sequence 10 key markers from your dample and give u the raw data. For 1k one can do the genome. Total scam.

It’s incredible that her dataset could be criticized as skewing white when anyone could purchase a kit.

I see a metaphor. A business without a workable business model will not survive. I am guessing that is true for an industry. There is or at least may be an information marketplace, or ecosystem, or economy, I am not sure how to express the thought. It's something like the food industry making cows and wheat believe they as individuals are experiencing benefit by the existence of the marketplace. In the information economy, my stupid little ass, my Gestalt, is the thing that will be processed into parts that have value and waste.

I really like what she said too about her desire to empower patients and acknowledging that individuals are often very good advocates for themselves. All too often, health problems are seen as something only the professionals have to address. Well, they have for a long time, and it seems like less and less progress is being made. Particularly in the areas of lifestyle disease, deaths of despair, and increasing longevity beyond pre-industrial natural healthy adult expected lifespan (which has never really been improved by doctors (less children die and less people die of infectious disease, but many people throughout history who lived to adulthood also lived into their 80s)).
