@@oida10000 Movies. A lot of earlier horror films, most notably Nosferatu, used daylight as a monster-killer to save money on a proper fight-scene, fancy props etc. Before then vampires were just weaker during the day, not unlike a human pulling an all-nighter.

I actually read Dracula in middle school, it was pretty good actually. Bram stoker did a good job with the different personalities he wrote in throughout the book

I mentioned this in one of the comments of one of the Rasputin videos, but there are different kinds of vampires, and most of them can be broken into 3 distinct groupings. The material vampire, like classical European vampires, who feed on things like blood; Energy vampires, such as the Jiangshi from Chinese lore, who feed on life energies; and Psychic/Emotional vampires, Gregory Rasputin is sometimes cited as being one of these, who feed on emotional energies. Now, to be fair, it's been a while since I cracked open a Vampire: the Masquerade resource, but I'm pretty sure that the vampires in that game are only like the classical European variety in what it is they feed on. Now, if the EC crew wants to throw in their own homebrew to include these other kinds vampires, that could be interesting and really expand on the worldbuilding using existing lore in our world, and maybe some of the established factions in the Vampire source material would fit better as one of those other kinds culturally (and possibly narratively). Just some food for thought moving forward.
