@@pallavthaker2020 well the story is good and the actions are awesome but in this movie Dhaka have a big part so just cng (maybe you guys call it auto) doesn't make it Dhaka....then the Bangla accent....yeah Kolkata people speaks Bangla but there is a huge difference between their accent and our accent....in the movie it's more like a Kolkata gangster to us...if they didn't mentioned Dhaka I could tell it's Dhaka even though I live here...the gangster was from "Puran Dhaka" area.....in "Puran Dhaka" people speaks very differently from others.....so that's kind of irritating....they are not even saying proper Bangla...not even used any Bangladesh actor not even location....it's seems to me the whole Bangladeshi thing is a cheap version of Bangladesh where it have just the name of Bangladesh....then the gangster.....to fulfil the gangster wish the whole defense force came to hunt only one kid.....army, police, rab all of the defense system....even our prime Minister doesn't get this much security....and in Bangladesh there is no way a 9-10 year old kid have gun in his hand....this is to much..... maybe for you guys this things are not a big deal.... but for us it is ......this movie have a great actor a great director everything is great...and in this Dhaka have a big role but it was nothing like Dhaka....so as a Bangladeshi this is very heart breaking for me

Things I never knew before that I learned through this movie. 1. India is just beside Dhaka. 2. Bangladesh Army/RAB is corrupted. 3. One of the best commando battalions in the world can be killed by a guy (Para Commando, Navy SWADS {most likely to be in this kind of situations}[ they are selected by US Navy and have to go through their Seal training. They are later trained by SAS, South Korean Navy Seals, SAT,SBS and more]) 4. Bangladesh lacks sniper that a general needs to snipe. 5. Everything in Bangladesh is yellow. 6. Homeless kids have AK-47. 7. The whole country runs under a Drug Lord. 8. Bangladeshi people listens to only 1990's Hindi songs. 9. Bangladeshi accent is more like hindi. 10. One of the world's best spy agencies suck their fingers when there's gonna be a big deal in the country. (DGFI, NSI {allies like CIA, MI6}) 11. Dhaka is full of slums. There's more but I think that's enough to give you an idea what's wrong with this movie. I agree that there's corruption in Bangladesh. But this it out of the world. I think the writers were high while writing the script.

First of all its written by russo brothers (cant expect mistakes from him ) 2nd if you have any sense about cinematography then you would not have called "everything in Bangladesh is yellow" 3rd agar disclaimer pada hota to tuje pata hota ki everything in this movie is fictional and any resemblance to real world is just for building the movie Its one of the best camerawork in indian cinema at the action is realistic unlike fast and furious Ps: avengers , fast and furious dekhte vakt to nahi dhundhte logic (No offense)

So in defense of Extraction. The script was written by one of the Russo Brothers who wrote the Visual Novel with the same story based in South America, which is canon for the script. So they had to rewrite the story to meet South Asian culture already. Also South America is run by drug lords as seen in many Hollywood movies like this or at least the US thinks so! (lol). They have over saturated Mexico, Colombo, Brazil etc at this point. So yeah, it is basically made of Eastern audiences and also to give Hollywood and rest of world a movie in less explored part of the world unlike shown in Slumdog Millionaire. A fresh view. It is difficult to change your script too much because it can negatively affect the whole plot of the story. I don't know if the motive for extraction would have worked like it did if they did not show Dhaka how they showed. Movies are fiction, you know. So take them as Cinematic Licences (drug lord, corrupt police, kids with guns) and enjoy the movie for what it is. That's all. P.S - A Spec Ops/SAS/SEALS soldier can be killed if sniped from a distance like that or get shot by a teen if already took so many bullets before that final shot (It is actually logical). They are not superhuman and don't have SniperSense or Regenerating Ability like in Call of Duty after taking bullets. LoL. I am not attacking you just stating some facts and opinions worth thinking.

The only problems I felt with this film were: 1) Tyler and Ovi's bond happened just over 1 night, which I expected to take a bit longer and which even should have taken a bit longer. You meet a stranger on One Day and the next day you cry watching him die. 2) The characters of Pankaj Tripathi and Amir Asif weren't developed properly. The character of Farhad is more developed than the two. 3) Bangladeshi streets play Bollywood songs. But after seeing this nutshell with the addition of D.K. Bose and Avengers Music, I have to say that this Nutshell is far more interesting than the movie.

But what I meant was that no bond, neither in real life nor in movies, becomes so strong just over one night to elicit a reaction like that in the end. Usually, people cry for someone's death when they feel really attached to that person. And that was never the case for Ovi and Tyler. Yes, they did have a scene where Tyler tells Ovi about his dead family, and that is just it. Ovi just relates to him and/or sympathises with him. That is not attachment really.
