This reminded me of my sisters graduation, it was in the middle of that heatwave in July (it was the hottest day ever in the uk or something) and I passed out the day before, so felt absolutely awful going up to London to see my sister graduate. But nothing felt more amazing than watching her get her degree and finish what she’d been working so hard for for three years. Congrats and all the love to you, grace :)

My father was a schoolteacher, and I can't tell you how good it is to know that the Schoolteacher Dad Tie is still a thing. My father's best one was tie dye, and was a Christmas gift from a student; as she gave it to him, she said, "I know you'll never wear it," so, of course, he wore it all the time. Being my father, he wore it with plaid trousers and a striped shirt. :) Ah, the memories.... (I think this was about 1974....)

Try zinc cream for spots, like sudocreme or similar. My MiL told me about it 40 years ago, and I still use it.... no not the same pot ha ha! Just put it on at night (all over face or just on each zit) when you go to bed as it's quite thick and gunky, really works tho.

My sister always wants to decorate earlier and earlier and our brother thinks it’s hilarious cause we have the same conversation every year where I talk her down and get her to agree to wait for the Saturday after thanksgiving because we need to keep it all special and separate and it’s when we get our tree anyway. God I wish Christmas bedding was a thing here but considering by Christmas it’s hot enough that you’re only sleeping with a sheet and a fan on I guess it doesn’t make sense to have cool seasonal bedding. I’m a huge Christmas person, as in listening to Christmas carols start of November and eating candy canes even earlier but this year I’m trying to be reserved, so I have my last exam for the year on the 19th and then the next day I’m going full Christmas, decorating my mini Christmas trees and everything.
