I swear that scene is one of the funniest pieces of TV I’ve ever watched. My girlfriend and I were both on the floor laughing when this aired due to us having a landlord who would over explain really simple things to us just like this.

I actually forgot how funny this episode was. Always found the Daniel Radcliffe episode and Orlando Bloom episodes the best ones, but this is probably the funniest. So great.

This is one of the greatest descriptions of acting I’ve seen. It’s simultaneously true, and totally useless to anyone wanting to learn from him or to actually understand how he gets into the mindset of the character

This episode, aside from being brilliantly funny clearly shows the hypocrisies in Andy as a person. He wants to be a successful actor, he gets the chance to appear in a play directed by Sir Ian McKellan but he’s willing to sabotage all that just for acceptance from a bunch of guys from high school he secretly couldn’t care less about.

@@funkyfranx Many people(sorry,a vocal minority) have a problem with Till death do us part,Steptoe and Son,Fawty Towers etc despite it being pretty obvious characters such as the bigot Alf Garnett aren't supposed to be particularly loveable or agreeable. Inevitably shows from the 90's,00's,10's,20's will also be deemed innapropriate in due course. People offended by comedy of all things🤷‍♂️

Great video. Yeah people can be weird- remember folks at networking getting weird because I wanted a non-alcoholic drink when they were buying a round. Also saw Sir Ian McKellen do a one-man show at the Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich. Great actor.

Maggie is totally the female Stan Laurel, in fact a lot of the humour is really Laurel and Hardy style. You need to watch the bloopers once you're done cos you'll know the scenes, Ian McKellen couldn't get through his.
