You must not know anything about people struggling with staying sober and them wanting the drug free person to be in their lives. I went through it with my husband just as she went through it with him. That choice between you and the drugs acts as the catalyst they need to make the choice to stay clean. It's not the ego of women it's the ego of anyone that's ever had a drug addicted partner. And yes they earn the right to lay claim to being the cause of this person staying clean. If they ever divorce and he goes back to drugs people like you will blame her for being the cause of it. So yeah she's more than earned the right had he not wanted her more than the drugs we wouldn't have had the literal best actor on the planet to play Tony Stark.
