Who wants a petition for The Noughties to be made like the other decade packages? Same narrator, same format?

'There are more ants than dolphins but it doesn't make them superior. Also.... AFL has a greater variety of skills, more space and more players. It is the superior game in every measurable way. You sought knowledge and here it is. It may not have been the answer you craved but at least you now know@MUFC

No mate, the most important goal of the century was Nick Davies, 2005 AFL Semi-final against Geelong for so many reasons. Sydney (SMFC) hadn't won a premiership in 72 years. Davis' goal gave them that chance and they took it with the most important grab of the century by Leo Barry in the Grand Final against WCE. Sydney were labelled the 'ugly-ducklings' so much like Port's GF win just the year before so they were fighting for respect too. The team, since moving to Sydney, had never really been considered contenders nor consistently so - after that goal, they were and they still are. And they achieved it with no real superstars but mostly a team of youngsters and rehabilitated veterans. The bloods culture returned. The butt of every joke wasn't funny anymore and Geelong felt that first hand. So with history, culture, reputation, and the future of the club all on the line, it's the greatest story of triumph for a whole club and without a doubt the most important goal/mark/year of the century!

2002, 2005, 2006 and 2009 Grand Finals were simply amazing and divine. Brisbane beating Collingwood by nine points Sydney beating West Coast in a defensive battle breaking a 72 years long premiership drought West Coast beating Sydney by one point in the sequel to be awarded their first flag in a dozen years Geelong beating St. Kilda by two goals in a hard nosed and hard fought battle for the ages

@taliamason79867 жыл бұрын
Billy Cannolo No way. 2010's has been dominated by Hawthorn who deteriorated the entertainment value of the game for 3 years up until last year and this current interesting season atm. Channel 10 who provided amazing coverage especially for the Grand Final for 9 years lost the rights in 2011 and since then Channel 7 has been very poor and again deteriorated the entertainment value of the game with very sub par commentary, awful panels who most of which know little to nothing about AFL. Its not tough enough and neither are most of the players. At least with 2000's there were a lot of great tough moments like Scott Burns knocking over Michael Voss and getting back up in the 2002 Grand Final. Finally the rules have changed a lot more and for the worse in this decade particularly in this current season.

No other club in 100 years or more have had the same riding on a single goal/mark/game/year as the Sydney Swans in 2005. No other! Western Bulldogs last year came close... It was a miracle year that changed everything for the bloods. That year alone dwarfs anything that could come in the next 100 years. Don't kid yourself mate.
