tip for moving the heavy-ish furniture: you can put a large piece (or several pieces) of scrap cardboard such that it is under each leg, it should make sliding the furniture easier and less harsh on the floors. hope that helps!

Yes! The outlet is on that side of the table in the floor so to not have a long cord everywhere it made more sense to me.
