Looking great! Please move the small table and two chairs into the gazebo with the lamp, for destination dining. So romantic.❤❤❤

Good job! I'm a new gardener also as of "Covid" and it's been a new world. Yes, definitely watch Garden Answer and Dig, Plant, Water, Repeat on KZbin videos! Always something to learn. Maybe put a fence lattice wood screen around your ac unit maybe? You can purchase them at Lowes.

FABULOUS! For a couple of self-described novice gardeners, I have to say you really nailed it. I love what you chose for the plantings, both around your patio and the gazebo. The urn you planted up looks absolutely gorgeous! I almost got the feeling that you watch Garden Answer on KZbin, because you planted the urn in abundance just like Laura does. If you’ve never watched that channel, I urge you to do so, because you will learn so much about gardening and plants. It is a source of great inspiration for me and I recommend it to all my gardening friends. The Vego raised beds look wonderful. Great job, you two!

Safety tip: when you grill, pull the grill away from house. The heat will deform your siding if it is vinyl or perhaps get hot enough to cause a fire.

When it comes to landscaping, think of it more as at least a 3 year process. When you buy perennials, think of how you can propagate the plants in year 2 and 3- spreading the plants around your garden. You can also buy plants at the end of the season and put them in now, but know that in the spring they will come back big and beautiful. Last year, for example, I bought 12 one gallon pots of ups for a dollar each last fall, planted them and this year they are the size of hoola hoops. Be patient with your plantings and think of it as a process. Watch your sun and shadows so you will know where to plant sun, part sun, and shade loving plants. I knew nothing 4 years ago and now my garden looks so beautiful. I still have a ways to go bc I keep adding more beds but it is a labor of love.

Looks so pretty. When you pay, you have to make sure they do what you are paying them to do, don’t just go with the flow and let them do their thing -as you well learned. It would be different if they were volunteers, but you are contracting and paying for their services, make sure they do it right. And they did, it looks so good.

The patio looks great. The landscaping is beautiful. My favorite plants are hydrangeas and peonies so I love any garden with hydrangeas. Your home is coming along so well. I love it. I would say though when it comes to landscaping it’s trial and error. I would suggest you want some garden tours and see what plants catch your eye. Look them up and see maybe if you would like to plant them yourself as well. Before you know it your garden beds will slowly start to expand. 😅 also please keep us up to date on the patio maintenance.

You did a beautiful job. Nice selection of plants. Are you getting a larger table for dining? That wayfair urn makes a very nice feature.

The Impatient gardener had an exquisite urn delivered. Not sure what zone gardening you fall into. Could you mention it? Becky of homestead acre did research on soil amendment which may benefit you.

Everything looks great!!! That was unprofessional of them not to take care of the excess concrete the day of the pour; it should have been done at that time!!! I hope the fiberglass urn and pedestal base are weighted; you may have future issues with wind!
@thelksaddress3 ай бұрын
The concrete pour was frustration but we’re glad in the end it didn’t impact the finished backyard!

Symmetry is a big deal in design. Watching your summation, I noted one outside light missing. Couch needs to be centred to that french door and umbrella could go on the other side. Reconfigure as you live it.

Larger. If I were you, I would use the mulch, glue or rock glue. Whatever they want to call it on your pea gravel, it'll keep it from migrating to different parts of your yard and it'll make it a lot nicer for you guys. I did this with my mulch and it's wonderful the dogs can run through it and nothing happens to it. So I would totally look into mulch glue of some kind
@thelksaddress3 ай бұрын
We originally thought we’d do the mulch glue for the pea gravel area but we haven’t had too much of an issue with the gravel migrating yet. It would make it easier to keep it clean though since it gets full of mulch and sticks. Thank you!

Sorry don’t care for the earn it just doesn’t flow with the more modern style of the furniture and raised beds. Also you should put the wood table and chairs in the gazebo and give it a fresh coat of stain. The longer black chairs should be on the patio. Enjoy!
