I love this wall color. I like my bedroom to be relaxing, neutral, and serene. And in my opinion, this rich green is considered a neutral tone. And the wood tones pair so nicely. It kind of reminds me of grandpa’s cottage vibes meets Harry Potter academia vibes, but in a modern upscale way. ❤

This is not the color palette that I would choose, being more blue/beige/sea colors person, but I totally LOVE this bedroom. It hits the cosy spot so well. Everything comes together perfectly! Also, I love the concept of this video and I hope you will have more of those coming.

I’m also a blue person and I have a really small room with a lot of books shelf’s on the wall so a dark colour would make it really claustrophobic. I recently repainted the inside of my build in wardrobe from the light blue it was originally to white and it make it so much easier to see my clothes

The sheets look AMAZING! A perfect mix of lovely warm colours. I dream of that blend in a room. I also used to have a black thumb, but am starting to be able to keep things alive. Some plants are pet-friendly, although maybe not for cats who will eat everything green (I had a cat like that and only bought fake plants for the decade she was with me. Bonus: they are still "alive"! 😄)

The colors are godly. One thing I was so expectant of for some reason and didn't get were some subtle shelving, especially something like a long shelf above the paintings above bed. Thin wood strip with fake hanging plants would do SO much for the coziness and enclosing the space I feel like.

Yes!!! Thank you! I am such a fan of dual curtain rods. I can't imagine not having them. Both curtain rods I have in my two rooms upstairs can have dual rods, but for my bedroom, I actually bought a separate French curtain rod to act as the second curtain rod closer to the wall, that way I could have the inner curtains go all the way to the wall to help cut out more light. It looks so beautiful to open the outer curtains and have the lighter opaque curtains have light shine through them. Love the aesthetic. Also, your color palate is amazing and works in your space. I personally wouldn't get red sheets/duvet because my personal taste is mixing greens and blues with pops of pinks and purples and off whites. But, red absolutely goes with green - the tone and shades you put together are important though. And in the end...it is your room as long as you love it, more power to you!

I really enjoyed watching this makeover, these type of videos are so calming to me. It's very... Satisfying? 🤔... To see, what a strong, personal style you have and how you bring it into reality! Especially that you're rooms are not the typical minimalist grey/beige concepts you see everywhere. love the transformation and making it something pretty but still functional. i personally, like you, love the red/green combo. only suggestion if you want a change is maybe switch or add a mustard or goldenrod color, but you did so with the curtains. you could even go a nice pink for the spring. i know the trend in home decor is to go beige and neutral but as an artist i need all the colors in my home. excited to see what's next for you.

Red and green are EVEYWHERE together. like, whenever i buy green things (which is a lot cuz it is my favorite color) people always suggest adding red but I don't because it's too christmas. It's just the two are so common that now i hardly buy green in store. (i have the tattoo 'crimson and clover' because one of my favorite childhood bands (Jimmy Eat World) and my favorite singer (Lana Del Rey) both have the lyrics in their songs AND my bf's favorite color is red and mine is castiton green so he wrote the tattoo) XD I can not escape the two colors!!!

Very nice transformation ❤ I grew up and still live in a colourful home, I‘m not a fan of white walls, it feels so impersonal to me. My bedroom is 2 1/2 walls cream and 1/12 walls a middle to dark tone of orange. My sisters is also cream and dark green (not as dark as yours but still) and I think this is just the best of both. Lightness due to the cream walls but a personal pleasing colour so that I don’t get sick of white. (Like the yellow walls in residential school 😒)

@PlantBasedBride yes! I too love a dark cave-like bedroom so I'm painting three of the walls an extremely dark gray (might as well be black) and we'll have one wood panel accent wall! I love mixing wood grains and tones too so it'll be slightly different than the wood our bed frame has :)

YUP. My cats are the Very Best Un-helpers when it comes to bed making LOL. I just bought all new linens for my bed (new duvet, cover, shams - kitty cat print shams! - and sheets) and remaking the bed - especially wrestling the duvet into the cover - was like a three ring circus with the cats getting in the middle. Love your cozy color choices that are VERY PBB colors

Looks gorgeous! Lovely earthy colours, it seems very 'you', and definitely nothing wrong with dark wall colours (mine are black). The colours of the walls, bed linen, and curtains all definitely work together, yeah. And heh, regarding cats on beds - I have one black cat, and one white and grey one. No colour is safe! Was giggling far too much watching you attempt to make the bed, hee. They're helping! And yeah, absolutely nothing wrong with faux plants. (Totally unrelated aside from the fact that I can see them behind you in some shots, but I'm two books into the Broken Earth trilogy at your recommendation, and. Holy cow they are good.)

One thing I've noticed about artists (including myself haha) is they often look like their art, and so do their homes when they get the opportunity to decorate their own spaces. You did a great job on your bedroom. When you decided on the green, it made sense, because you use shades of green in your journals that are similar to this wall color. I love your own artwork in your journals. Will you be creating your own art to hang in your house?

May I suggest a Chinese money plant? They’re perfect for the person who needs a low maintenance plant and someone who lives in a climate where most plants won’t thrive. This plant is super easy to keep alive abs very cool looking! It’s also not poisonous to cats (I have 2).

I really enjoyed this video!! I am wanting to change my bedroom for ages, I have never chosen my own color scheme.... Right now it is all cool-toned, lightblue and a cold dark brown.... I am so done with it. I want a more neutral/ warm toned room. I am thinking of autumn colors, maybe a dark rusty brown paired with some off-white walls and a light-brown/beige on the walls that are now blue.... But I am so uncertain about the specific colors... how do I chooose?? help haha. Btw I loved the end of the video, cats

I’m pretty low maintenance, honestly. I use my function of beauty shampoo and conditioner and occasionally will use a leave in conditioner or hydrating treatment of some kind!
