Accordion blinds that go on the inside of the window casement would be perfect for those Studio A windows eventually (for blocking out the light when needed); they're almost invisible when fully in the UP/OPEN position and you won't have to swap out those gorgeous light-filtering curtains! Love what you've done with the space, it's absolutely GORGEOUS 😍

This was a really fun watch. I have six cats, so I was so on board your cushion idea; my cats love lounging on the short bookshelves we keep beneath the window (and we do keep beds and bath mats on them-though like you said, they are sometimes...launched off). Velcro was such a smart trick to keep it in place, and the end result is quite pretty...and better yet, washable! Overall though, the whole room just looks like such a nice space to be. The little table was such a perfect choice for next to the bookcase, too. I thought the other table was just fine, but then you set the darker one down and I couldn't believe how much nicer it managed to look!

1) YES PLEASE to an in depth library shelf organisation walk through 📚 2) if you want to preserve the light and airy feel of the short sheer curtains and have an option of blocking out light you could try installing a double curtain rod, it's like two parallel rods so the sheer curtains can hang behind longer blackout curtains, which when open will frame the windows allowing dappled light in through the sheer curtains, and can close in front of the sheer curtains to control light (double curtain rods are on my home decor wish list) 3) sit stand desks are the way. Until you get caught running old barre exercises on a zoom call lol 4) IF POSSIBLE, could you share where you got the brown cable knit dress (I think it's two pieces, a dress and a bolero maybe?) that you're wearing in the talking portion at the end and the segment on your sit stand desk? It looks so cosy and slouchy but not shapeless

Oh my gosh I absolutely love how you transformed both spaces! I've been on my own redesigning my space journey and unfortunately I can't paint the walls because we rent I really wish I could though it make such a huge difference. It’s blowing my mind how much of a difference this desk is making in my day to day life. I LOVE getting to stand and keep working whenever I feel like it and honestly find myself adjusting the desk just a tiny bit up or down quite a few times during the day to accommodate wanting to sit with my legs crossed or using it as a cat elevator lol

It’s my second monitor turned vertical so I can have two windows stacked on top of each other while I work full screen on my main monitor! The clock is just the screensaver ☺️

How do tax regulations work in Canada? As a freelancer in continental Europe, I'd spend twice as much in my home office as in the rest of my home because that'd be professional expenses. Even more so if I was earning money from filming my work environment. Those costs would be covered by my company and not by me as a private person.

Well, I don’t work for a company, I’m self-employed, so while I can write off things I’m using exclusively for work no one is covering the cost of doing the work in the first place!

@@PlantBasedBride That's actually precisely what I mean. As a self-employed, I have to create my own company. It pays company taxes to the government, then I pay myself a portion of what's left : the lower the better, because I'm also paying taxes as a private person, and these depend on my income. Anyway, the idea here is that I cannot be self-employed if I don't have my own company (else the state only gets personal taxes and misses company taxes, that'd be fraud) and that that company covers for my expenses - and I only pay taxes once on those cost, as the money doesn't make it into my private wallet. So I assume that's not how it works in Canada?
