Generational wealth. Look at where they live and their family. I'm 25yrs old and have plans for more extreme body modifications, a few cosmetic enhancements and many more tattoos and everything will cost upwards of $20/$30k, tongue splitting, ears pointed, lip injections, breast lift, facial sculpting, and about a dozen other tattoos and piercings. Not diagnosing people 1.If you have not met them, 2.When they dont ask for it, 3.How you communicate such an important infomation and other ethical questions are a big part of our education. Thats a topic that you dont just throw in the room because you heard one comment that you randomly associate with it. How can you say there is no proof of it being damaging to your health? The proof is in history. I mean there is a reason why women stopped wearing corsets.
@Summer-fb7gb3 жыл бұрын
Corsets are not designed or used in the same way today as they were in the victorian era. It's not comparable. The boning is made differently and these days people season their corsets and reduce slowly, back then women used corsets like bras (and the invention of bras is what stopped women using corsets so frequently) - plus would always have them laced as tightly as possible. When done responsibly, waist training via steel boned corsets is safe and approved by health professionals.
@tyffaneelavely80873 жыл бұрын
@@Summer-fb7gb well the woman was also wearing older corsets, and ones that were designed like those of the past. Also, there is still medical documentation out there that proves it's not good for your body or health.
@Summer-fb7gb3 жыл бұрын
@@tyffaneelavely8087 I'm not saying the way she's doing it is safe (although it's certainly no more harmful than things most of us do), but people compare corsetry in history like it's the same as today and it's really not. We now season our corsets (this is like breaking in a pair of shoes) and reduct or waist size slowly, how they were made aside - in the victorian era they didn't do this, they'd just tightlace as much as possible which IS a danger to your body. But the way almost all of us use corsets today is actually approved my health professionals and will not damage you. There's a lot of misconceptions about it.
@Chronically_Bored2 жыл бұрын
Fun fact! Corsets were not as bad as they are stereotyped as. They were apparently incredible support for the chest and instead of squeezing down the waist, they expanded the top and bottom to give the illusion of an hourglass figure without actual painful pressing on the waist! Women back then were not so idiotic they hurt themselves for beauty! It is a myth! Look it up, it's incredibly interesting.

I had exactly the same reaction. I’m likely much older than you, so my treatment was more primitive. I lived in that horrid brace from my chin to my hips for years! It was so hot in the summer, I was always getting blisters, and I had to always sleep on my back. All totaled, I had to have at least 20 surgeries to correct my kyphoscoliosis, and so I told myself I would never, ever have any purely cosmetic surgery or body alterations. I will never take those risks, no matter how small, to change my appearance in any way. If you want to wear a corset, tattoo your eyes, get huge fake breasts or humongous lips and butt cheeks, good for you - live your dream and go for it. I am not going to judge. But as someone who has narrowly cheated death and who will always be stared at in public (because I have an obvious disability and in a wheelchair), I simply cannot understand the motivations for that behaviors.

The thing that some need reminded of is simple... it’s their choice, their bodies and their life. They are not judging anyone yet being judged on what they look like. So yes, it’s extreme but it doesn’t hurt anyone! It may be a risk for certain modifications like your sight but they chose for themselves. Let them be who they are and worry about you. All of these individuals seemed like great people. They seemed kind and caring to their children/families. We should try to change society accepted beauty and standards. If we take anything from watching videos like this we should be more compassionate because that will never go out of style. They are being judged by random people who simply look at how they look not who they are as an individual. Judged for the wrong reasons! In my eyes their brave! So many people are so afraid of being their true selves and their not. Kudos

I have a bunch of tats & I love them. I truly believe in look how you wanna look- be you. Keith was so hot without the face tats. But, he doesn’t live for me. He is a good man & that is all that counts. He’s a great dad & his fam loves him.

These comments are not it,,, anyway. their body, their choice, no matter what level of severity their body mods are. let people do what they want, if it makes them happy. like,, all the people in this video are adults, their parents get no say in what their kids do to themselves lol. i understand if youre stopping your young teen from getting a full sleeve of tattoos, but these people are like 18+, so it doesnt really matter what their parents say.

I hope she was pissed at her artist that made her go BLIND. Thankfully it was not permanent! She could probably at least sue for damage. Yeah she probably signed a form, but the artist needs to be sure of what they are doing. ''Going too deep'' shouldn't count. Dude, it's her sight.

I do r really get why people have to judge others with a bunch of tattoos like ngl I find the eye tattoos really cool- I would never get them bc I’m a wimp but like if I saw them I would be kind of shocked that they could go through that pain but also be like Woah That looks pretty badass :0
I just think it’s too risky to be doing like if you can go blind nooo
