I’m a homeschool mom to an 11 yr old and a 7 year old. You can do it! We love it. You’ll figure out what routines work for you and what curricula you like. Give yourself grace. Look for local groups, co-ops, etc. Personally I didn’t join anything the first year. Now we’re in a Christian partnership program for the arts and making friends. I’m so thankful for the time with my kids. I hope you have a great experience!

I'm a new sub. But I've always loved ur videos. Takes me back. But I was a single mom of 3 boys. I didn't want to raise my kids with a drug addict. So I delegated chores, there were rules, such as homework before going out. We had dinner together every night. They had a pool in the back yard, and I worked hard to make sure they had everything a 2 parent fam could provide. And with love, understanding, sticking together, and structure, we all did the best we could. We all used to clean together. Lol but things got done, and they learned a few things and so did I. Keep goin girl!!!

SAHM of 3 here. I was watching you on my TV but I had to go on my phone and find this video again just so I could write this comment. Thank you so much! For being realistic esp with how long it actually took you to finish cleaning. It takes forever! Cuz you constantly have to stop to get help your kids or get other stuff done. Many days I end up staying up till early in the morning cuz I know if I don't finish what I started then i won't get it done the next day. Many times my energy and motivation run out for the rest of the week from stress or depression so when I DO find motivation I have to keep going until im done

I feel exactly like you do, girl! I have four kids - ages 10, 7, 6 and 2. I feel like my house is a disaster every day too and like the "messy" houses on KZbin cleaning channels don't compare. I feel like all I ever do is clean, clean, clean. Keep it up!
@marysmith861 Жыл бұрын
The 6,7, and 10 year olds should be helping you clean. My sister (grandmother) started with her youngest grandson. Now he hates for things to be messy and he helps around the house. They can lose privileges. Like playing on the kindle. Or, having friends over. Or, going to a friends house. They can be taught to fold towels and washcloths. Yes, they may not do it "perfect" but they are being taught valuable skills. Not trying to be critical at all. No mom should be picking up after children that are capable of picking up after themselves.

Watching these videos makes me feel so much better about myself. I’m an art student in college and the “studio” space in my room is pretty much always a disaster. But that also means that it’s lived in and used. Although looking over at it right now it could probably do with a little (a lot of) tidying up.

The carpet rake did what it's supposed to. It separated and fluffed up the pile. Excellent thing to have and do. It probably got cleaner because you did that step.

Oooo. We have homeschooled from the start (kids in 7th and 8th grade this fall). Depends on if you want to go Christian or secular and how much structure you want. We used My Father’s World for K. And loved it!!!! We supplemented with workbooks from dollar tree for handwriting and started with Math U See for math but have switched to teaching textbooks. We use The Good and the Beautiful for Language Arts (we aren’t Mormon) and LOVE it. The early levels are free to download which is amazing!!!!

Yay I’m so excited for you guys! Homeschool mom here 1st grade, pre-K and an almost three year old. My biggest advice is if something “doesn’t feel right” or “is not working well” STOP doing it. We are going to focus on basic reading, writing, math plus Bible in these beginning years. I just got done reading “the read aloud family” and it is so good and it’s already made a difference for us. Once they knew their letter sounds I got the good and beautiful pre k and their beginner books. I love the good and the beautiful because its all “open and go” and It tells you want to do right on each page so you don’t have to get out a big teachers manual etc but I also think I might try something different once all of mine are actually In 1st grade + I’m looking into abeka video school cuz that looks super fun and you can do the whole curriculum or just pick the subjects individually and have it on dvd or stream. so I might do that for some things. But I already had bought the good and beautiful language arts, writing and math for k & 1st, 2nd when it was on a huge sale 😆 buying curriculums and stuff becomes an addiction so watch out lol #1- Jady A letter sounds KZbin video that is ALL they need to start reading. I played that twice a day and said the sounds with them and I also made some cards with the letters because my daughter engaged better with me where as my son loves all things involving the tv lol #2 search KZbin for knorpp and south “unschooling explained” this video really got me to not worry so much and get off trying to do what public school does at home. It totally defeats the purpose. You don’t have to be an “unschooler” to get a lot out of this video.

Hi there! I know this video is an older one, but it’s the first of yours I’ve watched. I want to say I appreciate (and feel seen) that your vids start out with a “normal” state for a house with kids. I love others, but most of the time they say “my house was a total disaster after the weekend” and the house looks like my version of clean! 🤪 I’m about 30 minutes into this video and had the motivation to move my heavy couch and finally clean that disgusting, sticky, horrifying mess. Feels so much better! Will be subscribing immediately and watching in the future! Take care!

Regarding your range, the Flame Spreaders, the removable round pieces with numerous holes that you accidentally found to be removable can be cleaned in your dishwasher to clean any and all bits of grease. Too, your stove eye grates, griddle and knobs may be easier to clean in the dishwasher.

I have adhd, stage 2 hoarding disorder, and ocd. When i start to clean my adhd makes it so difficult to stay on 1 task, my ocd makes the one task I am doing take forever as I hyper focus on every.single.dish or making my bed, i realize the fan needs dusted before I make the bed, and the list goes on. It's overwhelming. But these types of videos are super motivating. I'm on meds now for adhd, and I feel my life changing. My kitchen is clean, I have Christmas decorations out, because I have a clean living room ♡ it's nice. If you struggle with adhd, please get help. Help will help. Thank you for sharing your home with us as well as motivating moms like us to get the hell up and clean!

About the rake: The time to use it was after you shampoo'd your carpet. Pros use it to de-mattify carpet, which leaves it fluffy and new looking, and it helps aerate it as it dries after being cleaned. It dries nice and fluffed and feels more like new carpet.
