I love how you clean, you're very thorough! I'm not telling you how to run your kitchen, but putting your apples next to your bananas will ripen your bananas faster. If you find your bananas turning brown kinda quickly, separate them from the apples. Maybe a banana hanger that's not next to the apples. BUUUT, if you like them like that and they never last where they get wasted, then you go girl! Do you boo🥰👍

I want to thank you for giving me motivation! Edit because people are still showing this comment some love Yess my mom did appreciate it! Luckily my Mom isn't working extra hours and picking up more shifts, she gets off everyday at 3 PM (halleluiah). BUT don't worry, I still clean for her on a daily bases, cleaning will always be a form of therapy for me. Thank you all for the kind words, blessings for all.

I too suffer as you. It’s not my depression that prevents me from cleaning because I start in the living room, cleaning, then I go to the kitchen because my dog lets me know he needs water, so I go in there and notice that I should clean the mat for the water bowl, then I have to go to the bathroom so I go in there and realize the sink is dirty, so I clean that. I have not been diagnosed as ADHD, but this scenario is a classic example. Realize that you are not alone. I actually have 2 to 3 days a month where I have the energy to do anything. I utilize those days to the max! Best of luck to you. I hope this message helps you in some way. ♥️

make a list and do one thing each weekend until it is all finished. That is regular home maintenance and everyone has to do it. So if you schedule it you can get it done. Enlist the whole family to help with jobs that are age-appropriate. Every kid has to learn home maintenance and basic little repairs. You will teach them to be independent and good eventual home owners. Also cleaning should never be restricted to just the Mom doing it all. They need to help with decluttering and cleaning. Any six year old can try his hand at handling a vacuum, dusting, lining up shoes on a rack, folding clothes from the dryer and putting away. Make chore lists from an early age and teach your kids to do the chores properly; praise them so they learn to feel useful and take pride in their work. Can you tell I am a Mom and was an art teacher? That job entailed teaching my students HOW to use paint, clean brushes, use crayons, ink, construction paper, clay, etc. Montessori also teaches kids to do this sort of home maintenance, even down to the correct way to close a drawer. In Girl Scouts we learned how to properly make a bed and in 4-H we learned how to sew. Kids often miss out on this kind of thing nowadays, which I feel is sad because they live such limited lives on their cell phones and video games without gaining real life experience.

Whittle down your clothes every season. Donate stuff you have never worn, are tired of wearing, or that have stains or holes. Do not replace those. Once you are down to a manageable amount of clothing, then whenever you buy one thing new, a used item gets donated. One in, one out. Whittle down shoes and purses; most women have way too many of them and those $250 handbags are ridiculous in price and give a person an inflated feeling of specialness or importance. Do not look at fashion magazines and instagram accounts of fashion idols and you will immunize yourself against such huge expenditures on clothes and accessories. Same with hair products, makeup, bath products, candles and home decor. Most of that is not necessary. With nail polish running $10 a bottle, OMG that adds up so quickly. If someone feels they spend too much on certain things, try just one week NOT going shopping. For those addicted to shopping and going into major credit card debt, this is a serious psychological problem that can cause them to end up in serious legal trouble. If you have daughters get them involved in things not related to their appearance. Concentrate on talent, skills, and build on INTERESTS like music, sports, fine arts. NOt on their appearance, such as taking part in beauty contests. UGH!! I HATE those. Concentrating on their skills in music, sports, or fine arts can get them very nice college scholarships that save you thousands and thousands of dollars. And they can graduate with little or even NO college debt to pay back. My Mom taught me how to make quilts and I sold them in summers in HS and college. Now young girls do furniture flipping and they can make a lot of money doing that once they start small and get some experience using paints and finishes...

I really don't collect much, I am just so excited about doing this challenge. I might start tomorrow. I declutter all the time. I really want to start some projects for my home soon. I love to decorate and just do what I want in my rooms

Gosh I've got so many dishes to do, they're everywhere. And since moving into the apartment, my boyfriend and I haven't had the time to really finish moving in. This is really motivating!

We recently just moved flat - I wish I’d found this channel beforehand! However, I did watch sone of this video and today we’d completed the last of our unpacking and tidying, so maybe I found it just when I was supposed to! I hope your move went well!

I recommend using pieces of pool noodles in boots to keep them standing up straight. I did this several years ago and love how they look in my closet, plus keeps several pairs neat and tidy.

Thanks for this Vid Im 61 and I have learnt alot!!! Also its given me the boast to continue sorting my house after it being let go for a very long time. On that note Ive also heard of the something called Swedish Death Cleaning it might sound bad but I think its a good thing to declutter especially before it becomes too demanding to do so :) ( I also think their idea is to not leave a huge cluttered mess for your family which is a little too European in thinking for me. I just believe its benificial to declutter for your own well being and especially before your older and cant move around as well or dont have the energy. Thats a bit of my motivation I want to get my house where I want it before the aging process takes over and I cant do as much. I also want it sorted so I can start LIVING and doing other things that worrying about this house being messy and run down Lol :)

I work at a hotel, started as the Houseperson, then housekeeper, supervisor and front desk agent... who gradually made it up to the Operations Manager level...never once thought that it was possible without a decent college education...I still help with cleaning rooms, which our housekeepers seem to appreciate...anything to keep me off the computer all day. I love cleaning

I love cleaning and if I were still single, my house would look like this at least 90% of the time [when I was single I did monthly mid-year cleaning and weekly touch ups]. Now I'm married. No matter how much I clean, [although my husband loves it and often appreciates my organization...] he doesn't see the significance and doesn't assist me in maintaining. So I really pray your family appreciates your love of cleaning and organizing and assist you with maintaining.

I know I'm several months behind in watching this video but I really enjoyed it. Just wanted you to know that one way I've found that I can touch up the inside of a self-clean oven (without running the self-clean cycle) is to use a magic eraser. It works really well but depending on how dirty the oven is you can go through several of the erasers. Thanks again for the cleaning motivation.

I purge every 3 months. But I’m a single mom of four ranging in ages from 3 ,6,8,9 years. So it’s a constant revolving door of decluttering. And I ❤️ the Mr. Clean magic erasers! My 3 yo is an artist to the walls here! Annnnnd… the humidity with the dust in the South is no joke!😅 North Ga here!!!

It has been snowing here in Yoncalla, Oregon for three days! Today has been warmer, high 30s the snow is slowly melting. We are used to cold, not usually snow at this elevation! The kids love it! Only one short power outage so far, thankful to be prepared and have friends and family near by! Thank you so much for your inspirational video!! We have moved into our first home, a fixer upper, I have been going through the whole house doing a general decluttering! It is a lot of work, but so well worth it!

@@terrypurvis2535 Same! It helps me relieve my stress. After I put peppermint and teatree essential oil on the floor and vacuum it up, it just makes my room look and feel ten times cleaner and I'm more relaxed. I do this every day before my graveyard shift

I'm so glad to have found you Jenny! I love how thorough you are. I am quite similar, when I start cleaning I make sure to go through the whole room. Sometimes we don't look up or down or in between the gaps (ceilings, floors, walls, inside the stove kitchen, pantry, inside the couch, or shoe holder) It's been four years since I began renting on my own and since I own few shoes. I don't walk inside the apt with them, I leave them at the shoe cabinet holder by the front door. I always make sure to start from the front of my place to the back (where my bedroom and bathroom are). I clean the floors easier 'cause less feet or shoes walking in. I sometimes take three hours on a Saturday and one hour on Sunday, but if the place is really dusty and messy I expand 3 hrs/Sat and 3hrs/Sun. I love your videos! Best wishes to you and your family Jenny! Your new subscriber, Chrystal. 💕 💕 🙅♀️

You can take a picture of the drawer that has all the little bins in it & then after you clean the drawer, you can look at the photo to see how the bins go back in like you had them. :)).
