DW has been dishing out some of the best documentary material available on KZbin. When someone thinks of the reputation the BBC used to have, DW is now overtaking it big-time. Much respect. Thank you for making all this amazing material available for free. Danke! ❤

If it gets cold anywhere, then the comment section denies shorter winters, longer summers, & warmer average temperatures. Cognitive dissonance & wilful blindness are coping mechanisms.
@BinaryBlueBull10 ай бұрын
@@misterfunnybones Precisely. One of the comments above basically says: "I can see lots of ice in this video, therefore the climate is fine". I don't think there's much reasoning to be had with people like that. In general, someone who thinks they know better than thousands of experts worldwide who have dedicated their lives to a profoundly complex subject matter and have reached international acclaim in their field, based on nothing more than "I can't see it, therefore it isn't real", is not likely to be someone able to be swayed by facts-based counterarguments. Not that we shouldn't try, mind you, but I don't think we should waste too much energy on it when that can be used to meaningfully contribute to other, more meaningful debates and movements. I commend you for trying to engage anyway, I have done the same numerous times but after many years I have all but given up, so I know how tedious (and in my case sometimes infuriating) it can get
@misterfunnybones10 ай бұрын
@@BinaryBlueBull I'm always baffled by the self-fulfilling prophesy argument: someone is polluting more than you, & there's nothing that you can do about it, so keep polluting at your present rate. That's like saying there's someone doing 50km/h over the speed limit, so it's ok if I stay at my present speed of 40 km/h over the speed limit!?
@marickshorts9 ай бұрын
You are all brainwashed. If you gonna do everything to "change" the climate there will be a difference in temperature of 0,0007 degrees C°. The climate has changing since the beginning of time. Less polluting is a good idea, but don't act we're gonna change the temperatures by drinking out of a paper straw.
