I went through this a few weeks ago. I thought it would never get done. We have a whole room dedicated to clothes, shoes, and accessories. Cabinets with hang rails are on the perimeter of the room, with enough space for everything to hang. It took me 18 hours (over a series of days, after work) to do the job. I got rid of (donated) a lot of stuff too. Now we can use the daybed in there to watch TV, also in the room. It's a chore, to be sure, but so satisfying when done. (Jan Griffiths).

Another great way to sort your closet is to turn your clothes inside out, and then turn them right side when you wear them. This helps you divide your closet into everyday vs not, and then you can go through the 'not' and decide if its special event or just simply not something you want anymore!

I have random tubs too, and they're all the same size, with lids. They sit on the hang cabinets. They are labelled as to what's in them. I also found socks that were missing. I had only one load of dirty clothes though. (Jan Griffiths).
