@omarhuda49976 жыл бұрын
weird people make me feel sain the reason for that is that businesses are going to take this into account, they are not stupid. They are going to raise the price slightly for other shoppers who are not using coupons and this will affect the rest of us. Personally, I don't mind that people use coupons considering the companies are making them but I understand their implications.
@omarhuda49976 жыл бұрын
Huy Thai it's not just the tomato soup. Most of your other grocery shopping is increasing in price as well. Whilst this increase may not be felt by you in the period of a month, it will be felt by you in a period of a year or more when you realise that you can buy less with the same amount of money. Although saying that, inflation is the bigger issue for shoppers and grocery shops themselves introduced coupons so they know what they are doing.
@omarhuda49976 жыл бұрын
Huy Thai true but I don't believe that if other stores made competitive prices, people will go there en masse. Brand loyalty and TV advertisements prevent people from switching (in the UK some people buy groceries from Tesco, Asda, Saynsbury's, etc..., I don't know the American equivalent).
@omarhuda49976 жыл бұрын
Huy Thai I only know about Walmart. You are right about it and also the amount of customers that are actually using this level of coupons is very small because of how time consuming it is. Tesco and Asda had to lower their prices because of cheap German stores like Lidl and Aldi. So yeah, I concede. You are right :-).

People tend to forget that you don't just pay with money, you pay with the hours in your life. All that time spent researching, collecting and shopping probably took ages to arrange, valuable time that they could've invested in a job they love. And at the end of the day they still just go home with products decided by the coupons, not their free choice.

Couponers cause lost of profit to the retailers and producers. They have been cracking down on coupon quantities, store member quantities, and coupon expiration dates for a few years now at lots of stores. You would think couponing is great for people who share with their communities and have large families. However, i seen lots of products go to waste, couponers making it impossible for normal people to take advantage of sales, and they can be quite rude if a transaction doesn't go their way.

i dont understand couponing. arent coupons have expiry date? and why are the companies promotes coupons.

Yes most have an expiration date. I believe most companies manufacture coupons in order to promote their products and entice people to at least try an item so if the customer likes it they continue to purchase it coupon or not in the future.

@penitent24016 жыл бұрын
I assume the way supermarkets and coupons work differently in the US than Australia. 55c off a $1 item equals 45c, but then the store policy is to mark it to the nearest dollar for each individual item so the item is free for unlimited quantities? Here in Aus, they mark it to nearest 5c and it's marked per transaction. so if it's 4x 99c equals $3.96 marked to $3.95. and if it's 42x 45c it's still gonna be $18.90

That's nice that they are giving most of it away, and doing a lot of the meticulous work to prep for it.

The Miz why? The stores are agreeing to it, she's willing to take the time to cut the coupons out and use them....what's the problem?? 😂
@bsdjkgf29396 жыл бұрын
Why. Manufacturers put out these coupons for people to use. And Store's often put out sales and promotions to get more people to buy that product. When a store accepts a coupon they then mail them into one of the 3 major coupon addresses and the company reimburses them.

How is this even possible, everywhere in the world it says on coupons “one per person per transaction, cannot be used in conjunction with other offers”
@MTheChequeGuy6 жыл бұрын
It’s good to hear that they plan on sharing the wealth and donating most of what they got.
@Astrid_Grace5 жыл бұрын
Unsustainable. I'm all about stacking coupons, but cheating the system has ruined it for everyone. Walmart no longer price matches and retailers don't release as good of coupons or as many.
