If you buy an item that is .99 but a coupon $2.50 the store would give you overage meaning they will give you back the difference. That no longer happens anymore

They had friends and relatives willing to PAY for subscriptions then donate their labor to clip coupons then those ladies were restricted to buying only those product ON the doubling dates and at those stores ending up with rooms crammed with useless product they never used but it looked great on TV for a while. Unless you have 8 or more kids it's unrealistic and you won't save money and most stores quit doubling coupons long ago.

My mom used to be literally obsessed with couponing. So much so, that her purse was so heavy. And when she put the purse on the passenger seat, the seatbelt alarm started going off because it was so heavy the car was detecting it as a person. 😂 She doesn’t do it much anymore, especially with Covid. But she used to. It was a time. Edit: I’m glad you guys find it as entertaining as I do. 😂 It was real interesting. She had so many couponing friends as well. At this time, the car we got was fairly new. She didn’t even know at the time that her purse was the problem. Because our old car never did that. So she thought something was wrong with the car. So she took it in to be looked at. And the guy said “Well, it might be your purse on the seat. But I doubt it, it can’t be that heavy. Let me hold it and- WHOAAA!” He almost dropped it. Then he was like “Uh- yeah. It’s your purse. Keep it on the floor or something.” Lol. She had this one purse DEDICATED to coupons.

Speaking of coupons, for some reason, Subway is no longer accepting coupons, even though I still get them in the mail. I asked politely at a Subway if they were accepting it and the cashier just yelled at me like I was making a huge deal about it. I honestly just walked out and made the cashier waste the sandwich she made. She actually told me to come pay for it, and I just said no thank you and told her she needs to work on her attitude more than the sandwich. She then cursed at me and gave me the middle finger and almost threw the sandwich at me. All this over a coupon I asked politely about. Like, wth is wrong with people
