@rockinghell91: I was at this show. Front row. It may have been cleaned up as in crowd noise (but not much as the crowd was lame as hell), but it sounds like what it did when I heard it live. I would be surprised if I found out any post-production happened. This sounds exactly like I remember it sounding as I watched the show. Extreme is one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Tight, great sound and amazing chemistry.

wow... Gary Cherone can still sing! Most of the late 80s guys are taking it down a fifth or whatever to hit the notes. Awesome!

It's not overdubbed. The fact that you think so is pretty cool. The usual team was in place to mix this that have done the other Extreme records. Bob St. John is a great engineer.

@hankwilliams3rd He's actually "hammering on" a simple octave shape with his LEFT hand. He sets his guitar up with an unusually high action (the gap between the strings and the frets), and so just the percussive noise of the strings hitting the frets underneath the fingers of his left hand creates enough volume for the notes to sound. Try it for yourself if you don't believe me(!)

Looks like Nuno overdubbed his guitar track, he lifts his picking hand when going to the D# but you can clearly hear the picking of the the notes. The audio sync to the video is also off, so this may just be an editing issue in the post production stage of the video.

@hankwilliams3rd Hmmm... Interesting point Dude! I think there's one of 3 possible explanations: (1) The sound of Pat's bass (he often plays with a pick) is simulating the sound of the "palm muted" open string notes (2) This specific shot of Nuno may be from the same performance of the same song, BUT from a different pre-chorus section of the performance, OR (3) Nuno pulled a Stevie-Ray, and overdubbed certain guitar parts for the DVD audio track. ( I really doubt this one)

I really doubt this is overdubbed, the gutiar sound here doesn't sound fat enough for it to be overdubbed, it's likely they either sued different shots or he hammer-oned the octave shapes, with the bass acting as the offbeat 'mute'.
