I bought a toilet paper holder and it was annoying because it kept getting moved and knocked over and a pain to clean the floor. I'm a lefty, husband is a righty. Do what FEELS best because you are reaching for it at least twice a day. This is a thing where practical Champs aesthetic

I think I’m the water closet to have the tp holder in the wall on the right is perfectly normal. It’s a water closet - that’s it’s job to let you do your business and clean it up. Next up should be a bidet!!! 😊

I like the plunger (ideally a nicer one in a case type design) in the most used by guests bathroom. That way if something happens when they are over they don’t have to ask and be as embarrassed. Love your videos Jamie!

For your toilet, I would put the toilet paper holder on the wall (right side) and rubbish bin on left side of toilet, plunger in the laundry (I hate having to look at a plunger in my bathroom haha) and add a shelf above the toilet for extra toilet paper etc. 😊

Hi Jamie, I use a squeegee on my glass shower after I shower. It helps the glass to stay a bit cleaner. I also clean it when showering but I know you clean it for the videos.

I woke up early today to watch your video because this weekend we were out of town. I love your new home! We don't have window treatments on the majority of our windows except for the bedrooms. But we are on 10 acres with nobody around and not anywhere near a road. I decided not to because i absolutely NEED the sun to thrive and I don't want to block it out whatsoever. All my vaccums are mix matched because I am very picky. I love my dreametech w10 robot vac and mop, shark navigator lift away, bissell symphony steam vac and then for Christmas I got myself my first cordless vaccum (a dyson v15 detect). I was hesitant because other cordless ones I have had don't have enough power or battery for my whole house. I did get a second battery for mine BUT the power is incredible on this thing so I am very happy with it. And I think it's just something in the air lately because my girls are also very emotional lately, although one is 13 so that's to be expected lol. We have been very busy in Feb and we have our vacation at the end of the month to Punta Cana and they are very excited for that. I would put the toilet paper holder on the wall where you don't need to turn personally, function is important and you don't want to regret it later on. I also hate finding a spot for the plunger. I really wish someone would come up with something like the clorox toilet wand where you can throw away the plungy part after using because i never feel like it's fully clean even with bleach.

Def a stand for toilet paper! We have the same type of water closet & I didn’t want it in the wall! We think it works great!

For the water closet I would maybe try floating shelves above the toilet on the back wall. You can then put a nice basket to store the toilet paper and spray for the bathroom in the basket on those shelves. I would store the plunger inside the water closet maybe on the right side in the corner so it isn't visible when the door is open or when you just want in and on the left side the garbage can. I like the dresser in the closet I think it is great just in case if you need extra places to keep bedding even not just clothes. Plus you have seasons so it is nice to keep it to maybe even store clothes you don't wear often.

I love the shower and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the darker grout on the floor!!! I cringe when I see white grout on floors. I couldn’t imagine the up keep on that. I don’t like scrubbing grout if you can’t tell 🤣 I completely agree with the closet. If it will be changing when hubbys cloths move out, just reorganize and make functional for you then. The water closet is easy. Get an over the toilet space saver for stashing tp, period supplies, wipes, and so on. I would find a tall, cylindrical basket for the plunger and put it in the corner behind the toilet. For the toilet wand and refills, I have a basket on top of my space saver. It's at my fingertips where I need it, but "hidden". For tp, just get a roll holder and put it on the wall in a spot where it's most comfortable to use. I have a tiny bathroom, and I've had to learn how to maximize storage and keep it looking as clutter free as possible. 😁

Put you a little dawn power wash or the other dawn in the dish wand you can open the end on . Works good and on glass,tile,tub,sinks,counters. It doesn't take as much that way.I wet glass go over with wand rinse done. I had a woman that I worked for when I cleaned houses that said I was backwards lol that I used dish detergent in the bathroom and toilet bowl cleaner in the kitchen. True because Clorox toilet bowl cleaner really clean that white porcelain sink.Thank you for being here and doing what you do. Makes me feel like I am not as alone .

In my water closet, the builder put in our toilet paper holder. It is to the right of the toilet on the wall opposite the door. I don't think it looks bad. It has never bothered me. We used to have the tower thing that holds extra toilet paper but I got tired of it looking cluttered around the toilet, so recently I bought box things off Amazon and put the extra toilet paper in it. I like it much better.

Happy Sunday to you. I watched Vacuum Wars before buying my Shark vacuum. He really tests them. We have carpet in our family room, living room and 2/3 bedrooms. If we lived in a warmer area, I could do without carpet, but in our farmhouse, the bare floors are cold in winter.

We use our squeegee after every shower and it keeps the glass clean longer. I would put the toilet paper holder on the small wall by the door. It would look weird on the big wall. They have plungers with covers so it might look “nicer” sitting out. I keep ours under our sinks in the very back. And do get a basket for the back of the toilet. I keep them on all 3 of our toilets. I have to, flushable wipes, and air freshener in mine.

I agree 100% with what u said about the vacuum has to work for u and ur situation which is why I have been wanting a Quantum X for the last 2 years now. Having a toddler and dealing with the spills here and there...a Quantum X would seriously just make my life so much easier. The water filtration system that allows for wet pick ups is just a game changer honestly..but they are sooooo expensive..like over 400 I believe...which is why I still don't have one lol My current vacuum is a Shark Rocket and its been such a great vacuum. I've had it now for 3 and a half years and its been fantastic.

For your master water closet. Add shelves above your toilet , it’s what I did and it a great place to store toilet paper decoratively. As far as a plunger, I have one that comes in a canister holder and it’s great because you don’t know it’s a plunger !! Found in Target I believe but I believe you can get them on Amazon too!

We keep plunger in carpeted closet in a bucket. I’d put my dispenser on the wall to the left of the toilet, trash can on right in back and a basket on back for extra rolls. I like clean bathroom floors, not too cluttered. Love the video!

We put in a cabinet over the toilet for storing extra paper rolls, the extra disks for the Clorox want, extra q tips, lotion, etc. we also found a Clorox plunger that sits in a coverup base and is the right kind of plunger for a toilet. (The flat ones re for sinks and drains, the ones with the cone looking end are for toilets.

Get an open ended TP holder and mount it vertically on the door side. That way you can have more room, shouldn’t have to twist to get it. Also put the toilet cleaner either behind the door or under the sink! Keep the plunger next to the toilet! If an overflow happens, it is right there! Last thing you want to do is run to get it while the water is overflowing on you floor! I also use window cleaner on the inside of my shower when clean. Helps to keep the glass clean looking longer. After my shower I also spray the glass with shower cleaner.

I am loving the vacuum you have those lines are just perfect 🤩 I say for the toilet paper you can get a standing one and stack them if not to have it put in the wall. We’ve had our in the wall and the thing broke half off so now the broken piece of the wood holder is where we keep the toilet paper it still holds it surprisingly 😅🤣 the meals you make always look delicious. I like you’re way of thinking Jamie, just bc you moved in yoh don’t have to get it done right away and you’ll get to it when you can. Hi Jamie, hope you’re having a fantastic week. I’m not sure if this will work, but when asked for suggestions about the toilet paper holder I came up with this. Try the sticky part of two of the Command strips and place the holder on the wall for a couple of days in one spot. Then move it to the other spot for a couple of days. Hope this works. 🤞🏾See you next video. Also maybe try it without the toilet paper on there. Might be too heavy.

Did I miss a walk through tour of the new house? I’m pretty new here. And I’ve seen bits and pieces, but it isn’t cohesive. I will say I love everything I’ve seen. I love the bright white and gray as your neutral. I love LOVE the windows and all the sunlight streaming through. That is so nice, especially in a colder climate. The sunlight will help you all avoid seasonal depression.

Ok so hear me out. You should put the toilet paper on the right. I have my toilet paper to the left and I hate doing that twisting motion. Also a stand alone toilet paper holder tends to collect dust and will have to be removed whenever you clean the floors (in my experience). Comfort over aesthetics for this situation! Love you Jamie

We took out any carpet that was in our house because of my husband's allergies. It has helped so much with him not seizing as much. We can really get our hardwood or actually laminate floors clean and I can run my cheap robot vacuum multiple times a day if need be to help with pet hair and stuff like that for him. That is why we don't have any carpet in our house

Hi Jamie, love your new home! I was thinking instead of the flower vase on the floor, I think a nice green olive tree might look night on the side of the fireplace and the stairs. Just add some greenery and your living room will look even nicer!
