This is absolutely GORGEOUS !!! You're right, you've pretty much said "this is my favorite renovation" about every makeover you've done on this house! That is so cute and funny. Really the WHOLE HOUSE is your favorite! We get it, it's your vision coming to life and that makes it all the more special to you. And that is certainly allowable! Definitely do the shiplap. You are already tying in the kitchen then that would tie in the living room making all blend together but have it’s own characteristics. Looks amazing.

For display-you are a natural! I did it for a job. So artists use color around a painting in a pattern, like a swirl or cross, etc. That’s how you do a display like this also, the color pulls the eye around the ‘picture’ to keep the whole thing cohesive! Good job!

Great renovation! I remember you initially wanting this. Was Not a fan of the black at all, but I then…omg love it! This looks like it was meant to be there & your nautical touch was just the perfect touch. Those little things, like the lighting, custom counter top stain, floating shelves ALL flow to a distinct finish that is solely your style, yet it all looks like a professional designer came in & put it all together. So absolutely gorgeous! I love the black wall in the center to ground everything and give a focal point. It's just spectacular! It really finishes off your main living space! It's funny - I had a little mental checklist of how I would do it (which usually gets revised as you go along because, after all, it's YOUR vision and not mine!) but this time they were almost exactly the same except for the black. I had a color in mind, but love your choice of black. One by one, you checked off all my boxes - lighting above, lighting in the cabinets, crown molding (or some sort of decorative molding), etc. The only thing I would add is a strip of crown molding (or even a flat molding) across the top of the middle, black section where it meets the ceiling to give it a completely built-in look. I love to watch you two work together. And Bobby does a great job with minimal fuss. I think he can do just about anything you want! And then there's sweet Freya, pitching in to help mom and dad! 🥰🥰🥰 Have a great week!

The dining room has really gone through different stages, I really like the furniture that you have assembled for that place. The Italian coffee maker is the best for having a good coffee, not only does a man/woman live on a drip coffee maker, I have had one of those for a long time and I enjoy it a lot.
