OKAY HI! I can breathe after doing nothing but this bathroom for 8 days straight. Couple of notes after realizing I didn't mention somethings in the video. I didn't show updating the faucet because I caused not only the sink to spring a leak but somehow in the two pipes of the bidet as well. That's why it looks like my toilet is plugged in towards the end. As far as the window treatment I haven't decided on but I'm thinking a natural rolling wood tone bamboo type of deal - what are you thoughts!? If you guys have tips on sealant for concrete and tile, please let me know as I don't want for all this hard work to be for nothing! Ah hope you take away some bit of inspiration from this xx.

Suggestion I have seen with stencils, use a temporary glue like Elmer’s stick glue or a spray tacky glue and use it every time before place your stencil and then painting, it helps keep the edges more clean and crisp! Or purchase a sticky stencil to begin with!❤️

It turned out beautifully. I especially like the fresh look of the shower/tub, the vanity top and cabinet, and the recessed cabinet. Liked the look of the chalk paint on the floor as well, although the stenciling looks nice. The decor tops it off. Also it might be a problem that the tiles themselves are very irregulary textured to mimic natural stone.

I also did a stencil in a small bathroom. It is tedious and back breaking work. But worth it in the end. The key is to put next to nothing paint on the stencil. Some people recommend a sponge but for me a small brush in stifling or tapping motions was the best. If you make a mistake you can always quickly wipe the paint away. Sand and repaint the tile with the base color to start over again.

Helpful hint on the floor stencil. Buy 2 stencils, start in different areas, place first stencil, after rolling on paint, take some of the paint off by rolling on a paper plate, paint the stencil and leave it there. Repeat the process with the second stencil, by then the first stencil should be dry, when you remove there won’t be any splatter into the black.

Amazing job. A little advice that helped me in the past working with different tones of paint, try first passing a little coat of the background paint first across all the edges and then paint with the new color on top of that, that way you'll avoid for the new paint going out and ruining all your edges.

I sanded and cleaned and sanded and cleaned my tile floors in the bathroom and then painted them, three coats, sealed it. It took about six weeks and the paint started to peel. With heavy traffic, painted floors in a wet area, NOT a good combo. I ended up finding some really nice modern vinyl tiles that could be grouted, made a world of difference. The next makeover for that bathroom will be removing the tiles, but all in good time.

I bought a similar stencil to “tile” my bathroom walls. I also bought the exact paint, spray adhesive, and brush types suggested. My god, it was an absolute disaster. I’m quite a patient and meticulous person with these types of projects, but I basically wanted to cry.

Hah I cried multiple times. Right there with you.

I painted my kitchen floors the same way. It is tedious work. But the results are so worth it. You’re a looks great. Who cares if it’s not perfect? I personally love the look of it. Great job!

Just a tip to maybe help save tears in the future with stencil edge touch up issues...use a putty knife or plastic ruler (anything straight and hard you can wipe off easily and repeatedly). After stenciling dries lay that straight hard edge over the side to protect (in this case the white painted edge) while using the straight edge to perfect your touch up (in this case the black touch ups being done). You get great lines in the touch up and it is much, much faster because you do not have to be so careful trying to steady your hand and lines. Hope that helps somewhere, you can actually use it in many things. Someone may have already mentioned it somewhere, I saw there are over a thousand comments but I wanted to mention it just in case. Great makeover!!! Do you happen to have any where you did a small crowded bathroom and converted a sink/cabinet in the corner to sit in the corner at an angle? I'm wanting to do this but need some inspiration...😂

if you change your mind and there is a next time for stenciling, use a stencil adhesive on the back of the stencil and you won't have to worry about the paint bleeding under the stencil edges. Like you said, you learn as you go along! Over all, you did a great job!

You should make a series where you redo other people’s rooms etc!! That would be so cool, especially if it were tailored to the specific style they had in mind.
