What a blessing to hear it like it should be preached every Sunday! Praise God for men like you. I would be humbled beyond belief to accompany you, even to be the lowly camp cook. As a disabled veteran, I would jump at the chance to enlist you to help bring the joy of God's creation into the life of another vet who just needs a bump into the woods. Please pray for me and my dream, and thank you for sharing this with us!

This past summer I helped lead a group of the youth in our church on a backpacking trip for three days. We went about 40 miles with half of that being off trail. We gave them the maps and said, you're in charge now... so they would learn how to do hard things. It was such an amazing experience watching some of the older and stronger ones help carry packs of the younger ones to help everyone make it through to the end. Love the videos. Keep it up!

Man! I resonate with what you said about Christians being weak. I’ll tell ya, something I have been dwelling on lately is the level of complacency and how much it seems that Christian men simply turn a blind eye to evil and injustice and cop-out by saying “it’s in Gods hands.” I sat through a men’s conference and just felt the Spirit speaking to me. But it was in contrast to what was being spoken on stage. It was like all the preaching was about the struggles of temptation that men face. It was all about being defensive and setting up a good defense to resist temptations. But what God told me that night was that if more women were fighting on the front lines for Gods army, then we wouldn’t have time for temptation. Like David, when he was supposed to be at war and on the battle field he was tempted and then fell into sin. Had he been fighting for Gods army, the sins he committed would not have happened. Thanks for being willing to speak the truth about where so many Christians are today. I agree whole heartedly that we need to be strong Christians willing to take a stand, sleek out and fight when necessary for the kingdom of heaven! Dale

My preacher teaches us in our men group that it is ok to be a man. Be a manly man. Fight for God fight for your family. Just because your tough and a manly man has no bearing on how you honor God and raise your family. My grandpa was a 6'5" giant of a man 300 # and was as tough as they get. He taught me how to work and be self sufficient, he taught me about God, how to be kind, put others before yourself, patience, humility, this giant of a man never raised his voice one time, never spanked me once and boy did I deserve to have my butt lit on fire. He taught me how to be tough and kind at the same time. Pa thank you for your raising me and for your teachings I miss yo

Loved the hunt and the video. Two terrific animals in amazing country. While I understand the observation that he was trying to make, it did come off as a bit off putting. I believe strength and toughness come in many forms, and neither is a requirement to being a "good Christian". I think after reflection, he would probably word it differently now, but maybe not. I know there have been many times I have said something that came out differently than I intended. I applaud someone that has found a way to do what he loves and try his best to communicate what he believes to others.
@LimitlessOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Totally agree brother! It was not my intention to make it sound like you have to be physically superior to be a good Christian. Strength plays out in 100 ways. Christians should have the strong character of Christ and bravery and courage as well. The Word of God teaches us to do everything with our might and heartily as unto the Lord. Let me put it this way, you don't have to be strong to have a strong handshake. As I said in the video "There are many strong Christians out there, don't walk away from Christ because of the weak ones." It is something I discuss with many people I am leading to faith. They see and perceive many Christians as weak. A true Christian has unbelievable strength. In closing I think of what the Lord says to Joshua in Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be STRONG and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!"
@377AZ4 жыл бұрын
Jim Rodgers I agree that it came off a little like “if you’re not physically strong, then you’re not a good Christian.” All of his examples were of physical strength. However, I do agree that Christian men are “soft” in a lot of ways, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It IS clear in scripture that men were created to lead and be “strong.” Our wives and children deserve Godly leadership.

Limitless Outdoors . Exactly we are to be strong in the Lord, Rom8:1-(7)-17; (how) If you are struggling by your willpower to be strong in Christ look at Rom 7:14-25 notice v24 WHO , & this was after Pauls salvation , Jesus said Math 11:28 - What were they laboring in ( Law )The way you came in ,is the way you stay in , by FAITH in the finished work of Christ on the cross ! The Holy Spirit only works within these parameters - Jn 16:7,14 . If we try to be strong through will power & good works then we fall into the category of law covered in Rom. 7:1-6 . We are the bride of Christ , if we look to law , that is works justification/ sanctification, we are new creation in Christ Jesus & we are no longer married to law. This is why Paul had to admonish the Galatians chapter 3 & as he said in 2Cor 11:3-4 any other gospel than what I have preached unto you IS another Jesus , & not the true Jesus

Or Jesus who died and beat death. I think I'm going to lean into the One who has been there and done that. God loves you brother, why do you hate Him?
