I'm watchin it all and lovin it. Sleepin in the car is something I haven't done for ages, but it's definitely an experience to remember. Those hot dogs at Abe's looked good to me, and I'd go for that Texas meat sauce for sure. Pennsylvania's a great place ta start the trip, and it's actually the state where your dollar goes further than in any other, as I can see from the prices on the menu. Keep on truckin', and we'll all be following you till you get back home. And yeah, somebody told me they loved me today (actually two people), and I told her the same right back. That's how we roll, every day.

When you told us about the river water being filtered with Mr. Coffee filters all of a sudden one leg began hurting. Smooth trip so far. I made it to Seattle via the northern route once. Best stopover was Yellowstone Park but it might be winter there by now, or very soon. Not worth the time - Badlands of SD, and Mt. Rushmore (just graffiti to the max).

When you drive back, if it’s not out of the way, in PA, hit Penn State University Park’s Berkey creamery for 🍦🍨! They have signs telling you how long since the milk was in the COWS (on site at the uni)! 😆😆 Their rival in town is the Meyer Dairy, but the flavors/experience at PSU is unmatched to me! Be great if you come thru during a home game / the kids would LOVE it! Just be prepped to park in a parking garage, or walk it from visitor’s parking.

Hi Matt! For the record, the town is pronounced, "Wilkes-B-air-ree" - I know this because when I was a teenager (I'm a grandma now), I was watching a morning talk show and a lot of callers from this town kept calling in because the host kept mispronouncing it so many times that the show dedicated an entire segment to it. It was funny to see the host concede how wrong he was when he thought he was oh-so right. I'm looking forward to traveling vicariously through you on your road trip journey! Peace!
