This is funny because I’m literally such a minimalist that I almost never buy groceries in bulk anymore. I cannot stand having a cluttered fridge with too much food. The only time that’s ever happened was when we were buying food too often. We thought we would run out of certain items (even tho we didn’t), and before I realized it we had duplicates of the same food and that just bothers me so much. I make it a point to go through my fridge weekly, BEFORE we grocery shop, because I will not buy an item we already have and create more clutter. Since we keep such a minimal fridge and only buy what we need for a few days at a time, it’s a lot easier to keep up with and never overwhelming.

also adhd hack! a dry erase board with magnetic strips on the fridge to keep a list of all the produce you have has massively cut down on my food waste. You just erase it off the board when you eat it! that way i don't forget what's in there.

I can relate to hoarding anything thatI got with a takeout. I finally put all what I wouldn't use in a bag and took it to work. Most of it wasj ketchup, mustard, etc and they were gone by the next night. 😅 Anyway I love videos like this because I've been doing the same with my stuff. It's rather satisfying cleaning everything and gets stuff organized. 😌 🤤

Oh my gosh, this is one of the best feelings ever when the fridge and freezer are functional and clean. I recently went through ours, and it’s always such a huge lift to get started (honestly struggle because I don’t get enough dopamine from the experience until the payout of the final experience). Great job, you guys! The snack bin for Rowan is so incredible adorable ❤

I literally had to do this a few weeks ago for the same reason! Cleaned it up good AND reorganized! We have one of those regular fridges with the freezer on top. But I too have ADHD and forget about things. I saw a TikTok where they made their fridge "ADHD Friendly" by putting their produce IN THE DOOR. So they see it every time they open it! Then they put their condiments on lazy Susan's in the fridge because you purposely look for condiments. I put mine in a spare basket I had. The produce in the door has been huge for me but I definitely need to get some door friendly containers, because Mason jars doesn't always work. For the takeout packs, I upcycled the old plastic formula containers and put them in those! Love this! Your fridge looks really nice! I love that egg tray and the magic tap!

I recently bought storage containers for our cupboards and I was so sick it getting the food shopping and just chucking it in and never being able to see what we had! Tomatoes and eggs don't need to be kept kn the fridge though, so that could save some space! Also you put the condiments you don't use as much in the other fridge but to me that just makes me think you'd forget about them and never use them either😂

I am from Ontario, and we have the funny 4L bagged milk that has 3 little bagged milk inside one bigger bag if that makes sense- Its equivalent to your 1 gallon that everyone thinks is soo weird but let me tell ya - space saver for sure. we just use one of the smaller bags in a milk jug and the rest just sits flat in our fridge. Id upload a photo if i could. Google it haha and you will understand. But anyway no idea why other places havent done the same thing. I also think of older ppl trying to pour a gallon of milk and how hard it would be for them.

Oh also the lamp behind the couch is from target but Megan replaced the lampshade. It was the cylindrical white shade before.

I have adhd and autism. The fridge is my enemy. In my dreams i will have a dry erase board that lists everything inside the fridge/freezer. I do like to use a dry erase marker to put the date i open things like pizza sauce and left overs.

That style of fridge doesn’t help either with keeping it clean. I absolutely hate those two door fridges they lack space and it’s hard to keep organized. I know because I had one. You both did a great job but if you ever get a new fridge stay away from those two door fridges.

I so agree with this! We bought a two door after our other fridge broke on us, and I have regretted it ever since 🤦🏻‍♀️ there never seems to be enough space! Can't wait tol we're able to replace this one

@@amandanicholas2926 I made that same mistake years ago. One gallon of milk basically takes a whole shelf and then you can’t see whats behind that gallon it’s the worst. Idk how they ever became popular.

Don't refrigerate tomatoes! They go mealy and lose their flavor so fast. We homestead and never put any tomatoes in the fridge, even when we have buckets of them. No one will touch them if we do, they are sub par. Just keep them on the counter.
