Ohhh my, I am so glad I've been doing my roots right. I even go one step further when doing the ends after the roots have turned golden yellow by doing the ends with a bleach bath instead of straight bleach (usually, unless it is Iroiro pink then that stuff requires straight bleach and hopes and your first born's name to come out even slightly).

@@c8hensley Except it's just making her hair frizz because she's disrupting her curl pattern. She should, if she wanted to, try detangling in the shower with conditioner in her hair, rinsing, and then not brushing them again and just styling it. Not all rules work for all hair patterns.

In the UK we have these things called bleaching kits. It's not box die. It's developer and powder bleach, but already measured into the right quantities, so you don't need to think. That's what she was using. Not box die.

We have that here too but there’s only so many stores you can buy them at. When I’m doing extreme colors I get my stuff from a store called Sally’s Beauty Supply. But not every city has a Sally’s unfortunately.

Can we take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate how Brad straight up soldiered through absolutely (and ADMITTEDLY) not being the typically enthusiastic mood / mindset to do this video, was honest and authentic about it, and yet not only got it done like a champ but also felt better about it all in the end?! Might seem like a random, nitpicky aspect to harp on, but this is an example of important yet easy-to-overlook principles and benefits - being professional and showing up for the circumstance and audience without pretense, and surprise, it turns out better than expected. Everyone wins. And yes, those makeovers certainly pulled success out of thin air, against all logic…but my main takeaway was a pleasant dose of realness and unexpected affirmation that you don’t always have to fake it to make it worthwhile. Maybe a bit too deep, but…2022. Don‘t care, I’m here for it!
