❤FOR SQUEAKY FLOORS - I was told by my 94 year old Nana to work in some baby powder to the area where the wood floors squeaked, and it fixed the problem!!! It took some work but problem was solved!😊

When I was younger I had the opportunity as a Journalist to visit may country homes of very wealthy people from "old" money. All their houses were warm and comforting, walls full of art and bookcases full of old books and odd and interesting things. You can never have too much art. You decorate like an old wealthy soul and you make it all look like it's been that way for years! Fabulous!

@@lonefox I think glossy finishes are rather traditional. Although it is not as popular as it used to be (maybe because it is difficult to work with), it can create beautiful finishes; the proof is what you did in your hallway, just beautiful. You were very savvy in the use of the color red, a very predominant color in Spanish homes as well as yellow, which are the colors of the Spanish flag 🇪🇸 ☺️

The gloss doors are incredible! As soon as you popped the blue desk in there (and even the shots throught the bluish on screen kitchen) - the blues completed the primary colour triangle of the yellow (ish) walls and red doors - balance! To be 10000% honest the adjustment with a new puppy has been a lot! Winston is one of those puppies you have to watch 24/7… I’ve always worked myself from sunrise to sunset and adding a dog to the mix, I couldn’t fulfill every obligation if that makes sense! So just adjusting back into the groove up regular uploads! This hallway and the bedroom drama also was quite a process

Stunning! The “coup du maître”, the ultra touch for me is the matt antique desk that draws out the blue border in the rug and makes the red pop (not that those beautiful doors need any more popping). Smallish item that brings so much balance to the space. You have an sure eye for balance. 👏
