For Esarn food (North eastern) : please go to "Phed Phed lhay/pop" (they have many branches) - super good! • recommend - Somtum Corn + salted egg +/- raw shrimp - Somtum Plara (fermented fish sauce) +/- raw shrimo and.. for Authenthic Thai food - I recommend "Prik Yuak" • recommend - stir-fried Crab meat with yellow chilli

Nice video! "Mama" is not from "Mother" though. "Mama" is a brand of instant noodles, the most popular brand. It is so popular that the name have become the general word we use to call all instant noodles. Fried Mama noodles means the fried noodles that use instant noodles, instead of the rice noodles or egg noodles. The one that you ordered was "Mama Tomyum noodles", which was Tomyum noodles that use instant noodles. You can, order the other noodles shops to use the "mama noodles" to make noodles for you as well, for example, I'm sure you can do that at the boat noodles shop you visited too.

Just tried the famous Shibuya honey toast at After You cafe today. You guys picked another clear winner here. I completely understand your reaction now - it's the combination of the honey, warm and eggy inside of the toast and most importantly the contrast of the crunchy edges all around. Since they make it in cube form, you have more crunchy edges than you would on a regular french toast and that contrasts nicely with the eggy inside. Also, the quality of the honey is HiGH. It's like the finest quality of honey I've ever tasted. Also, if you like the Shibuya honey toast, After You cafe also sell bags of "Crunchy Butter Nuggets", which is basically like just the crunchy, buttery edges of the honey toast (in crouton form) - they are addictive and good to have with a coffee or take along as a snack while traveling. You actually touched it at 12:33 . Try it out next time you're at After You cafe. People should really watch this vlog carefully because you are recommending some GEMS in Bangkok.

Jeh-O (the mama place) is one of the most popular one in the area for both local and tourists. They serve variety of food to be eaten with boiled rice. Their mama dish used to be served only after midnight. It is famous for its fancy topping (seafood; crispy pork;etc.) Personally, my go-to menus are crispy pork and yum salmon. As for the omelette; the radish is sweetened/preserved which is usually paired with boiled rice.

Just had Fai Ta Lu in Bangkok based on your recommendation and you're right, it's distinctively better than any other pad thai I've had. The sauce they use is so dark and sweet it is almost tastes like Texas BBQ sauce or something. That combined with the heavy, smokey wok hey, pushes it over the top. It literally tasted like if a Texan made pad thai to me because you can taste the smokiness in your mouth similar to after you have a good Texas brisket. So good.

Boat Noodle usually come in small serving so it's usually quite cheap but you have to eat multiple bowls of it. The spiciness has been tuned down to meet tourists taste (keep it spicy but not too much you cannot chug it down) that's what you have to do if you want to keep your business running. Thus some people use "very less spicy" bc comparing to the original it was the new level of less spicy ,it's unnoticeable for us. And I think the number of locals who don't prefer spicy food are growing, the change was made for foreigner but now it really suits any tourist. Even some tourist spots that were said to sell spicy food (southern part of the country) doesn't sell them anymore, that was such a shame. It was a really cool gimmick and challenge for some xD
