Do you happen to remember which Reunification Train you were on? As the booking site reflects 5 different trains; SE2, SE4, SE6, SE8, SE22, between HCMC and Da Nang. I took the train from HCMC to Hanoi a long long time ago and I can't remember which one we were on, but it wasn't as nice as yours and it also had 4 beds technically. Plus the 'bathroom' was just a hole in the floor. Would love to experience the one you were on. It also didn't show any cabins/berths with only 2 beds. All the soft berths showed as '4'.
