Taking out the weird angles in the kitchen changed EVERYTHING! Made the kitchen look like a new built rather then a 90's throw back! Way to take a risk!

Even unfinished this looks wonderful! The biggest improvement is now having the fridge straight on instead of angled. So much more modern ! I've never liked angled rooms ...and we bought a house that is ALL angled, lol! I've got those corner cabinets but am fine actually with them because they take up the whole space and give me more storage.

So excited for you!! When my parents were building their forever home, they planned for what life could potentially look like 30-40 years down the road and intentionally made their kitchen extra wide encase either one of them needed a wheel chair or to accommodate their aging parents if needed. It’s been such a blessing in disguise! Also, that silverware drawer is so cool!!!

I believe taking out that strange angled wall was THE best decision of the entire project. As I was watching I kept thinking, what is with that weird wall with the fridge and why don't they just take that out!! Sure enough as I continued to watch, that is what happened. Alleluia!!!! Looks wonderful and how open everything is now. I love watching remodels and transformations. Thank you for taking us along on this great project!! Looking forward to see the finished project!!

I thought taking out the ‘pantry’ was a fabulous call and the result remarkable, UNTIL you called an ‘audible’! The result of shifting the fridge was a complete game changer! Oh Natalie it absolutely beautiful, I’m so pleased you took the wall down and straightened out the fridge it looks so much better. So much like me a kid with a new toy we had our kitchen done about 7 years ago and all lower cabinets are drawers even the corner has a thing that slides out and round. Each cabinet has two big cabinet draws and when you open the top draws there are secret top draws that you pull out in them and I still absolutely love them. We did draws as I can’t bend down anymore so draws are perfect for me so I really laughed when you played with your secret draws you are truly blessed to have a nice new kitchen at your age and with your family so young this is the first brand new kitchen I’ve had in 47 years of marriage. I so love watching as you share your beautiful family and creating your forever home you and Weston seam as though you are just perfect together and make a good team. I’ve always believed couples who pray together stay together xxxxx

Tackling things together has been a blessing on my part as well! It's so satisfying to see the fruits of your labor and makes you proud of your own work. We also redid our kitchen. A 1987 euro cabinets to white shaker with 2 double glass front cabinets. I chose bubbled glass and had a professional install the glass. I wallpapered the rear inner wall of all glass cabinets. The wallpaper matches the fabric on the seats of my island and the cornice over the french doors in our adjacent dining room. Our bottom island is navy, as is the top of the only wall. White wainscoting on bottom, navy paint on upper wall with white crown and ceiling. We removed popcorn ceilings too. Navy porcelain tile countertops with white grout. We wanted heat resistant counter and nixed quartz/stone. Our island is a large pentagon shape. I love kitchen remakes. We also added a 8 x8 pantry next to our laundry-room we stole the real estate from the garage.

Natalie, I just have to tell you how much I love it! I never comment on videos. It has been a joy to watch you over the years and it truly does seem like you made the conscious choice to appreciate your last home and that tiny little kitchen even though it's not what's held up on the internet as desirable (not that is was terrible at all). I know you have worked diligently to save and save toward your dream home/kitchen over the years and that knowledge makes watching it come to life so so satisfying. Long story short- it has been amazing to watch you live below your means, save, and appreciate a very humble kitchen for years AND it has been amazing to watch you get to reap some rewards for your sowing and enjoy creating a bigger and nicer kitchen now. There is a season for everything and that is something I've always come away with after watching your videos. Also- not that you need the approval from your viewers, but I truly do love the aesthetic and functional choices you and Weston made. The wood tones are beautiful together and I DO think this style will shine through the years and survive the trends to come. Can't wait to see more! Would you be willing to talk budget or is that too personal to share?
@NatalieBennett2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words and affirmation. Unfortunately there are too many people who would balk at the money end of things. You get it. You understand that we’ve scrimped and saved and sacrificed and worked our butts of to make these dreams come true. But once I start talking numbers the “haters” come out of the woodwork to put us down. If you’d like to talk budget I’d be happy to chat via private message on Instagram! Hit me up there if you’d like some of that info. For now, I’m not sharing publicly to preserve my mental health and to keep my comment section as peaceful as possible!
