Very well done as usual, Drew! I'm always amazed that you pick thrifted pieces that I wouldn't even give a second glance, and they always look so good in the makeovers - I think you have a magic touch and once those pieces are deemed Drew-worthy, they are instantly elevated. Pattern matching on striped and plaid fabrics is hard to do, I'm glad you got the cushions professionally sewn. The only thing I would add to this space is a light-colored fabric cord cover for the hanging lamp, I think that would make it blend into the ceiling better. Love what you did with this space!

As soon as you showed us Drew the choices of the drapes you had right away I thought I hope you pick the rust colored ones as I knew it would go great with the chair. I love the pillows you purchased for the sofa as the drapes and they go together as well. I kick myself a lot since I started in Instagram and watching these decorating videos that I did not stick with interior design in college. I changed my major and went for a business degree and I am so burned out doing accounting everyday of my life. My carpal tunnel is so bad now from the number key pad on the computer that I am in pain most days and literally cannot open a bag of chips anymore. I love medieval furnishings and I love the country style of decorating and I am into a tad of the 1960s decor for kitchens with retro fabrics. My mom passed away a year ago this July and looking at all our photos taken in the 60s in our home in San Mateo, Calif my mom made all the curtains in the kitchen and the fabrics were so fun with the old fashion juicers, tea pots, cups, coffee pot prints. I just love your touch no matter if it is your home you are styling or someone else's the empty pallet always becomes a huge WOW! Your assistant/roommate is so cute too.

@lestranged2 жыл бұрын
I agree, you can get lengths of brass chain by the foot at the hardware store and weave the cord through the chain. Or use a fabric cord cover, it's just a long tube that gets scrunched up and looks more intentional. Or even just rewire it to have a white cord that would not stand out so much against the ceiling!

Moving the plant. Can I ask why you didn't paint the trim on all the windows black especially in the same room? Was it to make the focal point the wall nearest to door? Were the windows in better shape? Would raising drapes with 8' ceilings work also or does it have to be 9' plus?

Raise the curtain rods as much as you can.. even if the ceiling is only 6-12" above the window.. raising the curtain rods draw your eyes up and make the windows appear bigger.. also make sure to extend the curtain rods past the wiidth of the windows too. I love the rustic colors that you chose. One suggestion however, instead of the ceiling light cord hanging across the room, why not switch it up to the type of light bulb you can control with a remote. I know you used them in your own bedroom. I'm a thrifter too, and I LOVE how the chair turned out. Great job.

Your hands are truly anointed by God! I LOVE the branches from outside in the corner with the pedestal. The seating is on point! The colors married so well. You chose the perfect sconces because that gold brightens up the wall. You are so clever and amazing! May God continue to bless and favor you with success!!! 🙏🏽❤️ May you continue to prosper and flourish and be on the covers of magazines and interviewed all over the world! Go Drew! Grow! Oh yeah I don’t know you, just a super fan that is subscribed and shares your videos every where she goes. 😂😩
