That suppressor works very well. With that much lead pushing out at that velocity, it would definitely require hearing protection. It would be interesting to do a sound pressure comparison to show the benefit of a good moderator. Thanks for sharing.

The technology these days is incredible! ...but I'm still way more impressed by the skills of a hunter who can sneak in to 20 yards undetected vs the skills of a shooter who takes a shot from several hundred yards away!

I agree. The stalking skill it takes to make a kill with a bow, especially with traditional equipment, is just awe inspiring. Watching snipers make an approach under observation is just awesome and painful to watch. But I have to say as much as I work on that (nowhere near ninja level 😂), the skill it takes to make the long shots is, for me, equally impressive.

@visamedic I agree with you on that because there are just as many factors or things that can go wrong with a long shot as with a stalk, but it's just crazy the amount of videos showcasing technology vs teaching the fundamentals of woodsmanship.

@@drummerdavemax Yeah, when you start talking about flight times, slight breezes, humidity, and the spin of the earth affecting a piece of lead weighing a few hundred grains, traveling at SERIOUS sub-sonic speeds at a human sized target OR LESS…….WHOA ! Pretty cool. I haven’t abandoned my powder burners but I have to say I shoot my air rifles way more.

I agree with the lack of videos on woodcraft. I did tons of that in my late teens to early 30’s. Always been a fan of Canterbury, Stroud, and Primal Outdoors. I’ve been so busy lately I’ve been having to live vicariously through this stuff. 😅🤣😂

I love my Airforce Texans, I own 2 of them. The 257cal Texan & the 457 CF Texan . These air rifles can be amazingly accurate, especially with a custom Maddog stock, to stiffen up the platform, you can almost cut your group size in half, with the Maddog stock.

Its just a dovetail to picatinny I removed the handguard and put it there for a center balance

AWESOME shooting . Just amazing the technology that’s developed, really just over the last few years. I’m telling you guys…Texas Plinking 1000 yrd challenge. Or Eric Cortina’s “500 yrd Black Jack Challenge”. You’d smoke the hell out of the 500. You’d AT LEAST be on par with the 1000 yrd…AGAINST POWDER BURNERS. I HAVE FAITH 😁👍

@@68Whiskey Yeah, the wind out there is crazy on a lot of those videos. It is a 10” target followed up by the 5”. With what you just did, the way you guys approach the target, and your adjustments….I don’t know. I think it could be done. I’d think the 500 yard challenge would just about be a gimme for you guys. You’re smacking pigeons at over 350! I’m still working my groups at 100 😂🤣😅. I will say between you guys and a few others I’m getting my guns tuned. When I’m done with this move I’m hoping to hit the range more often. Hell I still need to reload me some .308 and .270 in those long range Hornady rounds. Well as always, another great video. Always look for to you and Norms content. Hope he feels better. 😁👍
