I live in Moorhead MN and i know Garrett personally. He is just as amazing in person as he is on this show. He never fails to make me laugh and he doesnt use his disability as an excuse for ANYTHING. I pass the house everyday on my way to school and it is even more stunning in person.

what a wonderful little kid! Awesome job extreme makeover. I dont know how you did all that stuff for the guy's cool room within a freakin week. He deserves it, and they are amazing. I wish they hadnt cancelled this show its such a great show not only to help the needy but i think pretty inspiring for the design/building industry the ideas they come up with and the quality/speed that they build some of the stuff with is pretty incredible and unique alone, let alone doing it for a good cause.

I know how this family feels, my youngest was also born with the same problem . Even though he spent his whole life in a wheelchair, nothing stopped him doing things. Dieter had a huge chrisma, you could put him in a room full of people who were unhappy. Come back 5 mins later and they would be having a party. Sadly we lost him suddenly 12 years ago, he is missed so much by us all.

I'm nearly 47 and able-bodied yet I wish I was half the amazing person this incredible 10 year old boy is. He gives me the inspiration to fight my depression more than I currently do. You can learn more from kids than many of the adults we come into contact with.

My parents also came from Kosovo/ Albania and we have never lived in a house so its basically the same for us as a hajdari. It cracks me up ever time the hajdaris start talking I just fall on the ground and laugh my butt off

my brother has bad asthma and we used to live in a house filled with mold that made him sick. it was our dream home, but we had to sell it. i wish we sent a video in to these people for a chance to get a new home

Does ExtremeMakeover pay for property taxes for the huge homes they build? This organization is a great idea, but I've heard that at least one family they helped couldn't afford to stay in their new house and had to move soon after it was built.
