From "The Sayings of Sri Ramakrishna" 1073. A Rajah was once taught by his Guru the sacred doctrine of Advaita, which declares that the whole universe is Brahman. The king was very much pleased with this doctrine. Going in, he said to his queen, "There is no distinction between the queen and the queen's maidservant. So the maid-servant shall be my queen henceforth." The queen was thunderstruck at this mad proposal of her lord. She sent for the Guru and complained to him in a piteous tone, "Sir, look at the pernicious result of your teachings," and told him what had occurred. The Guru consoled the queen and said, "When you serve dinner to the king today, have a potful of cow dung also served along with the dish of rice." At dinner-time, the Guru and the king sat down together to eat. Who could imagine the rage of the king when he saw a dish of cow dung served for his meal? The Guru, seeing this, calmly interrogated, "Your Highness, you are well versed in the knowledge of Advaita. Why do you then see any distinction between the dung and the rice?" The king became exasperated and exclaimed, "You who pride yourself on being such a great Advaitin, eat this dung if you can." The Guru said, "Very well," and at once changed himself into a swine and devoured the cow dung with great gusto and afterward again assumed his human shape. The king became so ashamed that he never made again his mad proposal to the queen.

@@svlonestar7645 It means that some people deliberately twist religious and philosophical teachings to engage in their primitive and animalistic desires instead of moving towards spiritual growth. In this example, the guru was trying to teach the king about the concept that the entire world is an all-encompassing maya and an extension of the Brahman, but the king decides to purposefully misconstrue this teaching to cheat on his wife, which upsets his guru, who then challenges him to eat shit instead of rice based on the same flawed logic that he applied to his wife earlier. This exposes the fact that the king's misunderstanding of the Guru's teaching was not a mistake, but a conscious excuse to engage in his base desires. Another example: a guru teaches his student to sit still and meditate, but the student uses this as an excuse to lazily doze off and go to sleep.

All very good points Lama Choga! Regarding checking out our Teacher/Root Guru it is very important to do so with wisdom and skillful means. To an outsider, sometimes their worldly conduct might look chaotic or undisciplined, but in actuality, their conduct is of an enlightened nature; as in the case of my teacher who is in my view, a Mahasiddha. The eventuality of their conduct results in ultimate benefit for all beings because their motivation and skillful means is solely based in Compassion for all Sentient Beings. If a teacher doesn’t not hold the Perfection of Compassion, then we’d better watch out and look for our Root Guru elsewhere. Tashi Delek and Sarvamangalam!!!

Thank you v much enjoyed this presentation. The gravitational force to self identify in bondage to our perceived TimeSpace bound form keeps us locked into delineating our existence ad infinitum irrespective of any philosophical understanding of our true nature as emptiness. Left path practices such as shamanic flight (astral/lucid dreaming whether via psychedelics or meditation, mudra and mantra combinations etc) can certainly put the practitioner face to perceived face with entities from realms that are deemed to have IQ, EQ and energetic dominance over them and so this can certainly force the hand of deep surrender to true acceptance and realisation of our empty nature and hence rise beyond the 'fear' of such experiences or else risk the egoic breakdown and even death if fear is too overpowering to allow the practitioner to evolve at that juncture. This is certainly an argument for the importance of studying under the guidance of enlightened guru's and teachers associated to lineages of applied wisdom lore and qualitative principle geared knowledge.

I would like to know where you have learned this information regarding Indian Gurus setting themselves on fire to achieve Mahasamadhi? Is it perhaps something you have seen firsthand? The reason I am asking this question is because It is well known that the science behind Mahasamadhi, the body needs to remain intact, one can not harm the body to leave the body consciously at all, this would be a complete oxymoron to the practitioner. As a Tantric Upasak myself, I do find it quite strange when information like this is simply just thrown out there without any caution to the wind. I look forward to your response. Sri Matre Namaha

Those who keep the vows of personal liberation focus primarily on avoiding the causes of giving rise to the kleshas (mind poisons) and so reduce the causes for engaging in negative karmic acts. By this they are said to gain fortunate rebirths where they can progress further on the spiritual journey until they remove all there emotional obscurations. Once the causes for negative Karma are eliminated and previous negative acts are purified they attain the state of an Arhat. In the Mahayana they focus more on intention and less on action

I have been meditating about renunciation a bit; and, although enticing, I am not sure if I have given the pre-Buddha/Siddhartha opulent luxury & decadence experience a honest try. I mean I get it, after you have had it all what more can you want? You need something more and in the end there is no more. But if you had nothing, why not get some experience in that, that something you never had, it loses its shine and taste after a certain time. The experience evasion seems to be an upper-class end game as such. I somehow keep feeling that this is just trying to keep the "ugly" kids away from the party.

It's subjective though. I once saw myself on top of Mount Kailash, butt naked. I had to take off my clothes, it was too warm. But I held them close. Then I just realized I was imagining things, so it put ideas in my head. I imagined it was getting hot, so I had to remove my clothes. But it was snow and the top of a mountain. And this is very normal, but people with control over their imagination can do it skillfully. Morbid, but we seem to all die here, sooner or later. Eyy, it could be sooner than you think, no need to worry about life, I mean the rich are buying underground bunkers. Like a lot of rich people for this. And why are everyone so damn chill about the UFO😂 Thats like super significant happening!

Self-immolation is also a form of political protest. Such has frequently occurred in Tibet by those protesting the Chinese occupation, in general, and the brutality to which imprisoned Tibetan Buddhists are subjected by their Chinese captors. First Nations people -- specifically, the Tsalagi (Cherokee) -- have also practiced self-immolation. Certain spiritually advanced Tsalagi self-immolated to avoid the coming changes predicted by the invasion of Europeans that began in the 1400's. In this case, it was not a form of political protest. Rather, it was a conscious choice to remove themselves from a vibration of reality they did not want to participate in.

Just stop breathing.” Needless to say that terrified me to the point of some sort of psychosis where I found myself basically reciting a mantra to survive. with all due respect, Sir, there are bad actors in any and every tradition, and even high level of spiritual attainment IMO will not guarantee a honorable and decent behavior of certain teachers/individuals. Why be so defensive about own particular lineage? For us outsiders, such defensiveness makes the perception even worse, when instead of honest and open acknowledgement of a problem, one tries to shift the blame around and burry in pile of scriptural/doctrinal confusion, it is not open, its not honest and its sounds almost like a turf-defense. I have found great value in your notes and elaborations about path of practice in many of your videos, but this is definitely not one of them

People haven’t figured out how to stop causing harm with sex, how can they possibly think they can do super power sex stuff? It just grosses me out if a so-called spiritual teacher is peddling anything to do with sex. Red flag, and eww.

Yeah and soooo much trouble comes out of it. But we are like addicts to Samsara bring about our own downfall all the while convincing ourselves that it is justified ♥♥♥

@edenrose8831 ask for a person consent when in engaging in sex and also make sure you and the person are comfortable one can have sex without causing harm what are you waffling on about
@edenrose88313 ай бұрын
@@miguelatkinson what I’m “waffling on about?” You seem a bit charged up! I was referencing more the act of peddling sex by so-called spiritual teachers moreso than how not to rape someone. Please take care.

Ah yes, when master Bha’al demands sacrifice, one must self-flaggelate in order to offer the righteous flesh to the diety of terror. This is no different if you possess a new orientation.

I was taught things most don't know exist, ..... teachings are not for everyone ..... that's why you test for years before you give any extreame knowledge, it's important to know the integrity and heart of others ..... most would destroy themselves People spied on me and thought they knew what i was doing, they tried whatever they thought and really Fd up their lives, souls, Idiots and i don't feel bad for them

Pretty sure I know which female lama you were talking about. Definitely a lot of hanky panky in that monastery, the stories.... I had it out with her a decade ago. She called me arrogant. I probably am. 🤷 I mean, even Steven Segal is a lama now! 😂 🐕🦺🙏🐕🦺
