EXTREME ROOM MAKEOVER 2021 *thrifted + pinterest inspired* creating the AESTHETIC room of my dreams!

*UPDATE* so I moved and had to take off that "wood flooring" AND MAN was it tough!!! After like two days trying to get the sticky adhesive off, I watch a KZbin video recommending baking powder which did help a lot! Overall though, I wouldn't recommend using it unless it's in a smaller place or you're going to be there for like over a year (I was only there for like 9 months)

One tip that makes a big difference when painting walls: use A LOT of paint! Grab so much that the paint roller is almost dripping with it. Then use the roller to spread and even it out on the wall, by going with long strokes starting from top and going downwards. You'll save time and arm strenght this way!

Hey! For anyone wanting that kind of flooring: I installed in my room and I really recommend starting from one side and also using the left over from the last piece of “wood” you use in your first line as the starter piece for the next one (that goes on and on till you finish and it makes the floor look really good and well spaced). Also really press the pieces together so you don’t have empty little spaces. You may have some glue between the pieces for some time, patience and cotton with alcohol will solve that. Great video!

You *could* assume that the tiles are straight and lay the plank down so that the edge of the plank crosses opposite corners of one tile. Like if the tile is a diamond, lay the plank down so that its edge lines up with two opposite corners of that diamond. And then just add on from there. You can't know if something is straight just by using a ruler. You need to use a triangle. But I haven't finished watching yet, so we'll see how it goes.

If you want to make the mirror look more vintage you can use a rub n buff in a darker color and it gives it like a worn/antique appearance!!

You could always store the things on your bookshelf in cute wicker baskets? That way all you see is wicker and white. Very neutral. And maybe on the blank wall (before you moved the rack) you could put a huge leaning gold mirror, to look at the outfits your trying on? Like a small fitting room corner.

Love the makeover! With putting putty in the holes, you have to scrape over the hole to get the excess off so it’s a smooth surface. Just a little tip from dorm living!😆

I just covered my whole attic with peel and stick floors! I was iffy on it until I watched that guys exact video!! The Normal floors I wanted were like $600 more than the peel and stick and I found a super similar color in the peel and stick so I went w it!

This is such a coincidence I've been watching Alexa video's since January 2020 and exactly today I posted a video moving out for college and doing a room transformation video and it's so much like this one😱.
