Fun fact, stations are on Victoria line are humped. Trains arrive at full speed and the incline acts as a braking mechanism. The exit of the station is a decline allowing the train to depart faster as it's going down hill. This saves energy, and allows the trains to run 10% faster than relying on electric traction alone!

My point still stands, Paris metro trains are much slower than the London ones. In some lines, because of short distance or curves between stations, trains are going as slow as 15-20 mph, for instance Line 7 between Château-Landon and Gare de l’Est

This is normal, most trains approach stations at very high speeds like 60-80 MPH because the train platforms are long so the train has time to react and slowly break and it depends on how long the train is and that is how fast a 6-8 car train goes

Victoria Line was semi automated as far back as the 60s! It was brilliant tech for its day. Also pioneered automatic safety braking. If it gets too close fo the train in front the brakes come on automatically. Standard across the whole UK rail network now.

If the london train is going down hill at 64 speed it gets ten times faster to 74 speed this is caused by going down hill fast it will make you skip the stop so don't go to fast going down the hills like 64 45 and 60 these speed will make you derail to and going down a hill to a station 64 45 60 speed it will make you skip the staition like bank .

It’s not extreme speed. In the tunnels, the tube reaches a speed at around 20-40mph. When it enters the station, it moves at around 15-20mph on average in which it will slow down until the end of the platform
