That’s a great machine. I was amazed at how well it handled the larger logs. The auto feed never let the chipper bog down and the rpm’s were back to max speed very quickly.

Nice machine, guys. Even better that you can take it to the brush instead of the other way around! They’re pricey but the amount of time saved by a full time crew would probably pay for it in a few seasons…

No, both are things I’d like to see improved.

@@DudeRanchDIY on the roller lift to aid feeding larger material. Most all UK chippers, Forst, timber Wolf, greenmech, TP etc don't have it. if you are getting into the upper limits of the chipper log capacity, we just cut the butt at an angle for the rollers to draw in the larger logs easier, it's quicker too, you just adapt to that cutting style when working with these machines. In the same way we probably have to "sned" (delimb) or brash / trees way more than you guys with the bigger drum chippers like bandit, Vermeer etc. so cool to see a forst over the pond for sure ! How do you like that green works ? I had one to help with prototyping but have yet to get my hands on the finished article
@DudeRanchDIY16 күн бұрын
@theautisticarborist6846 yeah I am pretty used to cutting at an angle even for the older bandit 150’s without a hydraulic yoke lift. Is it 100% necessary? Not definitely not but something I’d like to see even if it were a mechanical lever to open the feed wheels. Just makes for a safer more consistent feeding process.
