An idea for a future video, show the process that goes into creating these videos for us viewers. You guys put out some great content and I’m sure there’s a ton of work that is done behind the camera. Thinking up ideas, moving cameras for better angles or lighting, editing, could even do a side by side with a voice over. Thanks Jake and Chris

Nice machine. I have the same sized Takeuchi. The Kubota quick coupler is nice. I had WB make one for my machine. It stays fairly tight and because it's so close to the original pin locations it gives up very little breaking force, which is important when you're running a small machine. We have a nasty black fly season where I live. I have zero regrets about paying up for the air-conditioned cab. I think you'll find it was money well spent, especially if you'll be working in there all day.

I got one of these chippers and I managed to jam it with an 8" piece of sassafras in under 2 hours of operation. Totally my fault. It was the butt end of a 20 foot small tree trunk, and I got distracted as the RPMs went down at the end of job. My fault, could have been avoided with 10 seconds and a little better attention. Anyway, about 6" long trunk piece stuck between the intake and the wheel. I was dreading fixing it because my last chipper required massive disassembly to clear a jam. But this one? Super-easy, which makes for a happy Memorial Day. Undo two clips, lift the motor/gate, insert a rod to hold it open, and bang, you've got access the machine's innards. Reached in, pulled the offending sassafras out, and put it back together. Ten minute, no strain jam clearance. Great!

Every single time I see any sort of comparison video with a Milwaukee power-tool in it, the Milwaukee either wins easily or once in a very rare while it'll come up as a *very* close 2nd place. Each and every single time! Yeah, I'm going to standardize on Milwaukee's 18volt battery platform. I'm not a contractor, I don't work for one. I don't make money off of my tools. But I just want power-tools that'll last. I'm not interested in DIY homeowner Budget brands (we all know which ones I'm talking about), that are made from the cheapest components on the inside, no lube inside either, designed to work great when new; turn to garbage with use and time. Go out, buy another one. I despise disposable power-tools!

Why does no one evaluate the Kobalt 80-volt brushless 18" chainsaw with a 5-ah battery? - - I have (2) Kobalt 80-volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and use (2) 5 AH Batteries. Using it on a Southeast LA farm that was devastated by a Hurricane and has been working absolutely great even cutting huge logs and trees. For oil, I like to use Ryobi Bar and chain oil. We have cut 20"+_ logs and it works like a charm. And NO more pulling and pulling to start a gas-powered chainsaw. My first 80-volt 18" Bar Chain saw with a 5-AH Battery and charger was $400 in Jul 2021

Someone else may have told you this but if not...Cut the bladder diagonally across on the valve side or opposite side. This gives you two gabled roofs that cover the entire IBC extending roughly 5" on the narrow side and roughly 3 1/2" on the wide side. Attach them to the IBC with cheap hinges and you have a IBC that can't be beat. I go a step further and attach 2x4 blocks to the wide side to force the cut bladder to stay in shape and provide weather protection. The IBC gets kinda kattywompus when you cut them in half. The 2x4 blocks remedies this. Fold roof open to refill tote when needed. One drawback is you can't stack 'em. But the dryness is what I want.

I don’t like the way they stick far up when cut diagonally they are an eye sore in my opinion. My goal is to just keep the majority of the water off

@DudeRanchDIY

I like the fixed arch because you can pull the logs a much longer distance than just the diameter of the hinged arch. My design also distributes the load over 4 points instead of just two. It works extremely well.
