Watching Wanderbot not realize that he had to continue breaking more pots made me wish I could just talk through the screen to tell him to continue breaking more pots
@NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEJ20 сағат бұрын
And then the same with the lock picking.
@etherkye220 сағат бұрын
You are not alone with that!
@acuddle19 сағат бұрын
@@NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEJ Yeah, he's like "I'm going to try picking a lock" when he sees that he needs 400 mana to finish the action and on a good loop he has barely more and it takes like *6 minutes* for him to realize 🤦♀

He gets there

I mean, even with all the QoL they put extra into the game along the years, it's still a bit obscure and not that intuitive/clear on some aspects at first glance. xD
@colecook83420 сағат бұрын
The game literally told him to break pots to sustain a loop and he forgot that almost instantly
@wanderbots19 сағат бұрын
I just didn't really understand the how & why of it. I was breaking pots, just not enough.
@deadlymind26225 сағат бұрын
@@wanderbots the pots give mana, the reason for the 1>2>58 is because you have 2 pots that could currently be broken for mana during a loop, 1 remaining in the loop, and 58 pots that have not been checked yet. In pots case, every 10 pots that are in the farthest right slot that you complete you get one in the middle, meaning you have another pot to be able to get mana from.

Very glad you figured out some of the better ways to optimize mana gain. Looking forward to you taking a step back and finish investigating and meeting people the rest of the town as the last action repeated then training so you base stats and all other options will be maxed and available.

@Caiofoca15 сағат бұрын
Btw Wander, the game is actually called Idle Loops. Omsi was just one of the like 5 different major contributors for the game back then and for some reason the newer contributors kept his name in the project/url.
@deadlymind262220 сағат бұрын
not sure if he ever realizes but for anyone playing this, the circle selects makes you do the exact amount you have known, so if you have 3 pots with mana it does 3 pots
@dennisc343815 сағат бұрын
Yep, the tooltip for it only pops up when you hover over the "Action List" title.
@Spikeba1113 сағат бұрын
Note: the circle accounts for the amount used in other lines, so if you have one catch the rest line and some precise amounts line you can just click the circle on the catch the rest line without interfering with the ability for the precise lines to function.

Look up the squirrel loops, it's the most recent version, long story short, main game was dropped, picked up, dropped, picked up, dropped, then picked up again, and the last one is squirrel, with it being made a 5th version right now

Most (if not all) web idle games have a save to file option, you should use that from time to time. If you're deleting all your documents every few months I dunno what to tell you. Dropbox or onedrive or something?
@gulliver908620 сағат бұрын
Loops is my fav incremental game, but it can take months to finish so I'm not sure if it works as a video series unfortunately. I could not play this game without the Prediction extension so you know how your loop will actually turn out (mana cost per action accounting for talent/level, how long the loop is, etc) Technically Omsi's version isn't even the most up to date one. The story goes something like this: StopSign makes Loops, but stops after 3 zones. Omsi takes over and expands a lot, but eventually quits as well. Lloyd makes a new version based on Omsis version expanding on it even further
@Caiofoca16 сағат бұрын
He's actually play DMchurch's version, which is a lot more updated than Lloid's and is in fact the newest one. Just that it's called Omsi-loops in the url I guess to honor it.
@Spikeba1115 сағат бұрын
Looking at the changelogs Omsi forked Loyd's 3.0 from January 23 2023 version (Loyd's latest) and progressed it from there so Omsi does have the most developed version again!

The mana costs change mid loop as your skills go up. Hovering over an action in the action list tells you the amount of mana spent on the last action.
@CyberGhost422 минут бұрын
This game reminds me of Stuck In Time on Steam (used to be known as Loop Odyssey but it was changed to be more distinct from Loop Hero) with a similar program your character and they become more efficient with repeated actions system, though SiT has a bit more depth and pixel graphics instead of being mostly raw text.

I played Increlution for a long time and it lost me at chapter 11 when instead of being idle it became reactionary with no credible way to just plan actions and let the game happen. I haven't played since. This game on the other hand, as long as it stays as it is looks like a decent replacement.
