I love water slides, but these types of slides scare me to death! one time I was at Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls Ontario, and I was waiting in like for a trapdoor water slide called the Wolf Tail (which is has the same names at other GWL's around the USA). The closer I got, the more scared I became! eventually when it was my turn, my anxiety went over the roof and I started panicking and almost on the verge of crying! please don't judge me for being a wimp, but the employee operating the slide was very kind and told me I don't have to ride it. I felt relieved but at the same time I felt very bad because I did not achieve this goal I made for myself. but my Dad absolutely loved it! he went on it 5 or 6 times!

Those clear/transparent elements are very heavy, so you would need a very different and much stronger steel support structure which would result in much higher costs for such a slide. Plus, the parts themselves are expensive as well.
