number one fuck up is someone gave him some truck keys lol. number two is he has no steer or tail chains... his load would of never swung like that if he had a tail chain...causing him to lose control...

chained up solid and he spins with a 5 axle? and double clutching while grabbing gears climbing. a long pull up a steep hill like that he should have picked a gear and stayed with it. not near enough snow to cause the truck to slow down and chains bite into the ice better than anything. nice graphics tho.

This same scenario happened in Northern Maine logging haul roads 3 times, 3 different truckers last week just in Northern Aroostook county alone. Not to mention all the near misses.

if that snow was wet and slippery like 30 plus degrees then i might believe that without chains....but a dry powdery snow you have good traction......i will take powder snow any day over wet snow...once you pack wet snow then it becomes just like ice....here in new england we get a lot of wet slippery snow ..it is the worse kind..

This is from Ice Road Truckers when on the Dalton highway. They had a lot of equipment and the show had a habit of making it look hard. The show had a bad habit of editing in something from another area to make it look like the truckers were idiots. Wasn't uncommon to see cuts from other episodes reused, even from previous seasons. I recognize Darrell Ward, he is dead now from a plane crash. The second driver I don't recognize. The truck spinning out and crashing looks CGI. I don't remember them using it in the show, but it's been awhile since I've seen it.

If you still want the answer it's from TV show Ice Road Truckers when they were on the Dalton highway. This part is not real, it is an over exaggerated demonstration of what could happen if you mess up. The going backwards part is speed up from someone backing up and the crash is CGI. There is also 2 different drivers the 1st being Darrell Ward, who is dead now from a plan crash.
