There seems to be a trend these pandemic days toward channels rehashing old content as compilation videos along similar subjects. That trend is not limited to evergreen channels like Minute Earth. I'm glad to see that Minute Earth has included a list of the videos that originally aired the content compiled here. Most time-pertinent channels aren't doing that. Thanks Minute Earth!

The weather in the UK is absolutely strange for sure. Can't remember exactly when but one of the days in the last year or so, we had rain, sun, storms and hail all in the same day. And this time last year I was in a restaurant eating food on a nice sorta sunny day, finished my food and went to walk out the door with the weather still nice, I step outside and it literally starts hailing like mad.

And we in Europe are gonna pay thousands of billions of euro's to 'fight' global warming. Diesel cars older than 10 years can't enter many cities. You will get fined because they use camera's. We ship whole forests from Canada and north America to Europe to burn in 'bio powerplants'. That's what Europe calls 'green energy'. And the best of all, the estimated 1000 billion euro for my country alone, will give 0.00007 degrees celsius less global warming. It's outrageous.

there's life in way more inhospitable places, so i'd assume so yes. (there's literally life in underwater geothermal vents, which IIRC goes up to like 400celsius, as well as being in the very depths of the ocean, where even our submarines struggle to get) other than that, IIRC there was recently a discovery made of a completely isolated cave with an entire functioning ecosystem. (movile cave, in romania, it's in fact also poisonous in atmosphere)

im curious how much of an impact all the trash in the oceans is having on the climate. the trash floating on top should absorb more sunlight and make water on the surface warmer and shade the water below? the "weather" of the oceans i feel have a huge unknown impact on the weather, like el nino warming off Chile. we also havent seen a major volcanic eruption for a while either. just watched video on the 536AD eruption/s that lead to mass starvation. i am glad we are able to produce plant grade light without the sun, if necessary. solar panels set up outside earths sunblocking atmosphere should be able to harness more energy. can we some how beam that energy to earth? time will tell.

about the two satellite that detect IR emission from the earth, aren't they only detecting the one that escape ? what about part of the earth where more heat are trapped ?
@cosmosxk9695
@cosmosxk9695 11 ай бұрын
hi! we just found your comment and we think we might have a clue! What if the satellites detect the electromagnetic (or black-body radiation) emitted by the Earth's surface itself?(which from what we found so far, seems to change depending on its temperature, like its wave-length for example. With some colder things emitting infra-red and hotter things emitting visible light or even UV!) If you decide to look into it, looking into black-body / thermal radiation might be a good start!
