This house--looking through all the accumulation of belongings--is so inviting. So many windows and so much light! It still has a cheeriness about it. It is SO disheartening that nothing is being done to preserve it. It does appear that the last occupant was a hoarder, but appears to have been a "clean" hoarder--if you know what I mean. So many beautiful pieces of furniture and glassware and dishes.

I hate that these homes that the owners loved are now setting just to be left for it to all rot away with nature taking it over sooner or later. I would love to restore the home back as close to the way it should be. There is so much stuff that could be donated to families that are in need for things they can't afford to get. So sad! Thanks for another great video. Stay safe!

What a beautiful house! I’m curious about the tiny tiny windows tho. The stairway, doors, windows, hardware - all a delight. I bet the floors were lovely too. I heartily wish someone, anyone would pull a truck up to the front door and rehome all those beautiful antiques before they are destroyed. And slap a repair on the roof before it gets worse - no reason for this house to not be a loving home again! Thank you Kappy for yet another gem!!!

I agree with another viewer the owner didn't leave it like that, kids came in took whatever stacked everything to be moved out and then just didn't arrange to have it moved out. Younger generation has no appreciation for the beauty and value of "old things" they truly don't. There is a fortune worth in that China, I recently bought a vintage McCoy ware mixing bowl for $30 which I thought was a bargain price at a vintage store. There is a lot of sadness in looking at the things she saved my guess at one time in the houses history a lot of entertaining went on there. And a daughter who wanted for nothing in that bedroom with the wedding dress. I hope before they salvage the house they allow someone to come in and buy some of those things instead of destroying them. Anna In Ohio

Save me is what this wonderful old home is screaming !! This home has so much to offer polish her and she will shine again !! Someone passed away and there is know one to claim a life time of special items . Each item in that Antique Cabinet was something special to whom ever lived here . Each mug in the Kitchen Cabinet was there favorite and was special in some way . A life time of collecting and now that life is gone and the collection is all that remains sad so sad . Thank you for documenting this wondful old home . Great work as always Kappy !! 👍👍

The first thing I usually notice is the condition of the roof. This looked pretty bad, but surprisingly it all appeared sound inside. I wish there was a preservation law to save all the wonderful treasures inside. I saw a beautiful caned rocking chair, a crib, so many other wood pieces and then the glassware! As Kappy said - "Heartbreaking."

Older people have things that are valuable and is still being bought and sold, young people go through there house and only grab cash and jewelry leaving other sellable and valuable things behind. Most things made today has no value and is not solid its all made in China. All her cabinets crystal and China could be sold to make money or kept and used they made things to last back then. I wonder what will be said about the younger people's abandoned houses of the future that's if they can even afford a home with the way things are going ,it's very unfortunate. 😢

I dont think they were hoarders but someone went through their things and toppled them all over ...probably looking for money. Disgusting how people treat other people's things from their life. The home is most likely in probate. Families are most certainly fighting over the home and it's contents. 😢

When we moved to Missouri, the kitchen cabinet doors had a button you had to push on the handle to open it. I LOVED that kitchen as it had 17 drawers and 17 doors. I've never seen windows like that by the stairs. I guess I don't have as much "stuff" as other people LOL! I absolutely LOVE this house and would buy it sight unseen (in person) if I had the money (and wanted to move). The kitchen would have to be redone. Totally GORGEOUS home! Obviously the lawn is kept up. Does the family wtill own it?

Hey Kappy! What a beautiful old house this is! I love all the gables, windows and details! It's so bright inside! I love it! There are so many valuable pieces, from furniture to tableware, glassware and other collectibles, one would hope that someone would come in an rescue these treasures before the failing roof reduces everything to just sodden junk! This was a house where happiness ruled and there is still a sense of happiness in the place. True, there's the detritus of life everywhere you look, but it's just cluttered by people searching for anything valuable they can sell. They missed a lot! If this house were cleaned out (think rollback!) and the obvious water leaks repaired, along with the damage they caused, this house would be on the cover of a magazine! Thanks for this great little mid-week exploration, Kappy! I needed something to brighten my evening. My husband no longer knows me and becomes agitated when I visit or call, so I am not allowed to do that any more. His body is still there, but my darling is gone. I will not see him again until my time here is through. I miss him terribly, but am forced to accept that he is gone from me. Much love to you and the Ruby Girl from cold, snowy East Tennessee! We have a foot of snow on the ground, with a half inch of ice on top! I've been snowbound since Sunday night, but I'm well supplied, so I don't mind.😊

Just when I get used to Kappy's Saturday uploads. This house has a fantastic main floor plan and I loved the woodwork and the bedroom furniture in the main level bedroom. Indeed, lots and lots of stuff, but probably would not look so bad if explorers would stop digging through it and leaving it where it can become ruined faster. When you opened the refrigerator door and I saw the mold I kept yelling close the door, close the door as if you would have heard me. I hope you have your tetanus shot up to date, I thought of that at the ladder to the attic. Thanks once again!

My mind was going crazy trying to process ALL that stuff😯. The furniture.....the glassware.... It's like someone was both living there and trying to pack it up at the same time. Sooo much stuff. It was heartbreaking to see the photos laying around ☹️😔. I'd be curious to know the back story on that situation. Thanks for sharing.

WOW... What an incredible place...once that roof gives, so much beautiful stuff and antiques and collectibles are gonna be just ruined. How sad , there are some incredible pieces in there. That house could be fixed up so nice . Dang what a shame.... great find kappy!!!

I absolutely love all the windows! The claustrophobic kitchen? Yikes.
