Some of the most beautiful fireplaces I've ever seen in here, even the slate roof is a beauty. At least the family had a big sale and didn't just leave everything to rot.

I've been to a few estate sales, it's really kind of sad when you're going thru someones things, who are no longer alive. Usually once an estate sale is over anything not sold is either donated, or sold off for pennies on the dollar. I wonder why there is so much stuff left in this house. I can only imagine how glorious this house must have been in its day. Awesome..

These mantles are some of the most beautiful you've shown us, the etching is really unique. There are some areas in this house that look untouched by the ravages of age, but i do wish whomever was in charge of the estate sale would have cleared out the stuff that didn't sell. Just love the interior shutters on the windows! And oddly enough, i once owned the shower curtain with the yellow rosettes!

0:31 some huge bird is at home there - raven, crow? Beautiful scenery. 9:06 that range in the kitchen looks unique - 1960's? 16:00 slides from their travels 21:16 child's model mill to play with also that table is still in it's box from the 1950's! The layout is impressive, would even work today with the high ceilings, open plan obsession. I wonder if it came from a spec book, you could choose the layout and someone would build it for you. Very nice family summer home. I think those stained glasses might have been a greenhouse, how they got them all into the attic I don't know.

My father passed away recently and the house and property that he and my mother had built needed to be sold. It was in a state of disrepair because my Dad could no longer do much and the garden and yard my Mom that was her pride and joy was overgrown from years of neglect. I told the realtor that my hope was to find a buyer who would love it back to life again. Thanks to God and both her and her colleague they found a couple with two young children who had a landscaping business. They had great plans to make the house and property shine once again. I think my parents would be be very pleased. 😊

The pictures/negatives you found aren’t that old-‘old’ being relative, of course😅. They are slides. We used to have slide projectors which you could load up with slides, then project them onto a blank screen. People would show pictures they took on vacation, etc. in that way. I have pictures my late brother took on slides from the 60s through the 80s. Thank you again for all you do. May you have the happiest of holidays!
