Anyways I love to error hunt the same time I try to guess on grade or is it worth grading, than you some times find a good ERROR with at a HIGH-GRADE ON TOP OF A RARE ERROR, IT'S A LOT OF FUN & SOMETIMES VERY REWARDING, And Fun! Ill tell you. Send it to Ana have graded slabed. But send by Registered mail only. Very Safe the Hope diamond sent that way expensive but worth it

I have a 1968 S that is super great shape actually I havev 2 the 68 s an and a 69 s and a bunch of 69 D's but there not as shiny as the 68s I have but I do have the 1972,73,74,76 and a 78 and those are really shiny like the 68s I have if u know any people that would be interested in there and let who ever else see the rest of my coins

Was it struck at San Francisco? All of the Five Cent Nickels struck at Denver in 1942 and the early ones from Philadelphia were struck on planchets of the same 75% copper, 25% nickel composition as had been used from 1866 to 1942 and would be again from 1946 - present. I wonder if a reverse die with an 's' mint mark in the conventional location could have been unintentionally installed in a coinage press at the Denver or Philadelphia mint? That scenario would account for both mint mark and composition. A further speculation would be that the error may have been discovered at the mint, the batch quarantined, but with some (or one?) escaping detection and / or destruction.

In order for this to work , if genuine, two things had to accure. First a 1941 reverse die (with the small S on the side of the building ) was used ,then a left over planchet from 1941was used. If this was the case, it seems to me , you would also produce some 1942 silver nickels with the small S on the side of the building instead of the large mint mark over the top of the building.

I don't know if you check old posts or not but I am wondering if my set of 100 years of nickels could be worth anything and how would I be able to upload some pictures or a video of them to show you. I also wanted to let you know how important and educational your videos are, I have just entered the world of coins again after a 40 year break from it and I now have a new outlook on the hobby and my focus is on finding a New Discovery that nobody is finding. J&B you have never led us wrong. And if there wasn’t a chance that more of these nickels weren’t out there somewhere, you would of never would of made this Video. So I have put this Video with all of the other Videos that I have saved for my educational purposes. I have a question for you. Would you please please make a Video on what the Steps are to have a Coin graded. The best Company to send it to. Can more than one Coin be graded? I have a few war time nickels. One of them I'm told is worth a TON of money but I can't remember why. It is in with my collections that are at one of my parents house. I have been collecting all my life but not really seriously. I have been getting serious lately for the soul purpose of finding that big time coin or coins that are going to help me get my family a new house and start a different life. I know it's a long shot...But I know it's very possible the more you study about it all and get serious with it.

Yes I know that there is more than one 1942 s nickel that has 19421 reverse and the right side of the Montecito building the S mint mark is not visible with the naked eye. You must use a microscope to see it .I know for a fact.
