Mod idea: the blue shell becomes a trailable item that you can throw behind you like a green or red shell, but it explodes when it makes contact with anything. Also, (optional): first place can (very small chance) pull the blue shell but (optional) it automatically throws the blue shell forward when you get it from the roulette.

I think a good custom item or new item could be a reversal mushroom. Sends everyone but the user backward in time 5 seconds to where they were. Would be very jarring to competitors and put you 5 seconds ahead but not adjusting your location on the map.

The Jet Bubble seems like it would be really good, but you'd have to completely rethink how you handle drifting. Being able to just cancel your momentum like that seems like it could enable some crazy strategies. I'm kind of surprised you haven't banned the Offroader, by the way. Nothing particularly crazy happened this episode, but I'm pretty sure both of you have fallen victim to the dissonance between what the driver is doing in their game and what your game thinks it is doing before. It has to be disheartening to lose because your game thinks the vehicle did a 180 and starred you, only to watch as the Offroader teleports away.
